Il nome "La Cantina" nasce dal ricordo del luogo in cui il caro nonno paterno realizzava il vino di sua produzione. La casa si compone di camera da letto matrimoniale, un bagno e zona giorno provvista di angolo cottura attrezzato. Non è adatta ad ospitare gatti.

Inside a popular hotel in the Sassi di Matera, this cave room is accessed from the common terrace through a large French door. It's an alcove entirely dug into the tuff. Extremely welcoming even just for the conformation, hollow and rounded it looks almost like a mother's womb. The bathroom, although small, has a bidet and a shower. It is equipped with air conditioning, TV, mini-bar and free WiFi. A rich and special breakfast buffet is included in the cost of the cave.

Natural white stone all around the room and on the ground the typical ancient and original "chianca" (medieval term meaning stone slab). I tried to leave everything as original and rustic as possible to give guests the feeling of reliving the old days when an entire family of 10 lived in this room.
