The stone cabins at Kastad farm are located undisturbed in fantastic natural surroundings. The cabin in the forest, like the other cabins, has stunning views of Mjøsa and Kastadtjernet. Welcome to Fjellstua in Nes municipality – a charming cottage from 1927, located high and free and in the immediate vicinity of nature. The property is located approx. 6 km from Årnes city center, where you will find the train station and most service offers. Right outside the door you will find a large forest area (approx. 10 km²) with both marked and unmarked hiking trails. Here you can pick blueberries, lingonberries and chanterelles in season – and we have provided berry pickers for free use.

This offgrid cabin is placed on small mountain with stunning view. It is 25 km from Oslo and 6 km to the nearest bus station. This is an offgrid house with no public water or electricity system. Water comes from private well (120 meters) and electricity is from solar-panel (4800 watt=solar panel and 50 Kwh of batteries).
