Thank you for sharing such a clean, cozy, and beautiful home with us—it was a truly unexpected joy and became one of the highlights of our trip. Your warm welcome and kind hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of our favorite moments was soaking in the spacious and beautifully designed bathroom with our kids—it was such a relaxing and special family experience. The peaceful surroundings and thoughtful touches throughout the house brought us so much comfort. We made many wonderful memories here and sincerely hope to return one day. I went to Minamicho, Miyazaki Nichinan-shi, and I had a good impression from the stay. The place is really cute, the futons are comfortable, even for us Europeans who are not used to them. 🤗 We met the host who is charming. it was cool so we put on the heating which works well. Only small remark, we had to do a washing machine and it is only possible to hang your laundry outside, except that it started to rain during our absence, all our clothes were wet... a clothes horse outside no worries, but under cover from the rain would be great 😅 and blackout curtains everywhere would be a real plus to have darkness in the morning. The airport is not far away, so you can hear the planes early in the morning, which is a shame. No activity next door so it's quiet, but you have to look to find restaurants. This guest house was right next to the sea and was in a very nice location.At night, the starry sky spreads across the sky, and it was as beautiful as a dream.I had a very satisfying stay, spending a relaxing time with my family while enjoying BBQ.I was able to make great memories and I'm really grateful.Would love to visit again!

The response to inquiries was very quick, and I was able to stay with peace of mind.The old house was well cleaned and I didn't feel inconvenient.Also, it had good access to the city and a supermarket, and it was a 2 or 3 minute walk, and it was very convenient.

It's a great place to stay regardless of season! I went with one other guest during the winter. My girlfriend enjoyed the sauna and outdoor hot bath during the cold days and nights, and I enjoyed grilling food on the BBQ and staying warm by the fire. It has many amenities and good internet. Driving is a must as it is up the mountain and grocery stores, restaurants, etc. are a good distance away as well. I highly recommend staying during the winter!

Not enough stars to rate this place. The 'hut' is a beautiful traditional home with tatami flooring, paper sliding doors and an old charcoal burning hearth. The garden is magical with hammocks, a fireplace and beautiful flowers. The rushing sound of the river and calls of exotic birds are all you can hear. Dippers in the stream. We walked up the track into the forest in thunderstorms and saw monkeys, boar and tanuki, and warmed up in the outdoor bath afterwards. The hosts are delightful, friendly and attentive. It is also a good base for visiting along the coast, we liked Aoshima very much and highly recommend the taco bar (serving tacos, not octopus)
