We really enjoy our stay, everything is well designed and organised. With a really nice bath and kitchen.

It is a typical Japanese house in Kurume, nicely decorated. Clean and tidy.

The accommodation is better than it looks It was neat and cozy, and it was nice to have a large table and chairs for several people to hang out. There was a terrace, and the parking lot was about the size of two large SUVs, so it was comfortable. However, it is difficult to walk to the downtown area, so you have to use a car or public transportation.

If you want to experience a real Japanese house, this is the best option you can choose! The house was beautiful, spacious and clean. The beds super comfortable and all the amenities in good conditions! We’ve been so happy with the house that we wish we stayed more! Also, the check-in process was super easy thanks to Shota’s clear instructions and fast replies. Thanks again!

A place to stay where you can stay comfortably with nature for travelers who are tired of living in the city It is also ideal for a family trip and is also very suitable for young children. I had a good rest in a clean and tidy facility.

I was an impeccable, kind and kind welcome, he took the time with us to guide us within his city and even took us to a family onsen where I was even able to swim there while I was tattooed. We stayed in this wonderful home on our family trip. There were 5 of us and we were perfectly accommodated. The house is very nice with original furniture and utensils, nice garden, thanks to the hosts for the huge welcome table, it was very nice to eat after the road! The house is very clean, good mattresses and nice linens. The towels are made of fabric which we didn't like, but quite possibly this is just our impressions. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, not far from the bus stop, but to the city center and to the airport on them to get about 50 minutes, it should be borne in mind. For those traveling by car it is important that the house has a parking space. We will recommend this house to our friends for a trip to Fukuoka! 😊

Beautiful and clean house. Everything you need is provided, hence no worries. The floor bed is really cosy and able to keep you warm. We all had a good sleep.

Very chic unit with nice decorations and props that make you feel like home. A lot of things to explore in the house itself. My kids loved it so much.

Very cozy house, the host is also very tidy and clean, the inside is a variety of cute cat images, the cat is so cute.The host, Akiko, was also very nice and helpful with directions.Not far to walk to Kumamoto castle, but Kumamoto castle is still rebuilding.You can walk to the bus terminal and go to Aso Volcano and Tiangus to see the dolphins can all take the bus at the origin station!The trip in Kumamoto is over perfectly.

I was fortunate to stay in a house with a hundred-year history.The courtyard is also particularly beautiful, and Yurie is very kind and patient, because we were more than two hours later than we had planned to arrive at the B&B. We were very patient and gave us very detailed instructions on how to use each device.It is also conveniently located 8 minutes on foot to Kumamoto Station to Kumamoto Castle.

Fantastic place to stay at Yufuin. Highly recommended to all who drive. I must say the host was great and the service excellent. Breakfast was marvellous Will return to stay there the next time I am back in Kyushu

Hiropon's place is extremely clean and the surrounding is very beautiful. The place is very suitable for a family of 5 with small children and the kitchen utensils are sufficient for us to do some light cooking. We enjoyed our stay there!

Koichi and Kanayo are the most incredible hosts we've ever encountered - they treated us as family from the moment we arrived. Truly lovely and generous people. They were proactive in helping us arrange activities and meals and taxis. The house and garden are peaceful and beautiful and layered with history (which Koichi and Kanayo happily explained to us). We had an amazing kaiseki dinner at one of their recommended restaurants. And if you have the opportunity to visit for the Oniyo festival on Jan 7, you should definitely do it!

The walking course was nearby, and it was a great location for those with dogs.

First things first: this isn’t your sleek, modern Tokyo high-rise. Grandma’s House is exactly what the name implies—a modest, older Japanese home filled with the kind of character that makes you feel rooted in history and community. The house’s architecture reflects a traditional Japanese layout, complete with sliding doors, tatami mat flooring, low ceilings, and thoughtful minimalism that gives the space a calming, peaceful energy. That said, taller guests should take note—if you’re over 5’6” (about 167 cm), be prepared to duck a bit. The ceilings and doorways are low in some parts of the house, which adds to the cozy, nostalgic feel but might be a bit tricky if you’re not used to it. For us, it was more charming than inconvenient. It reminded us that this was someone’s beloved home for decades, and that sense of warmth lives on in the space.

Very nice and clean house, with excellent mountain views. Great showers. The owner runs a cafeteria on the first floor, which is very convenient for breakfast. Takao san gave great suggestions for local tours and was very happy to welcome our family, including our dog!

The house has more amenities than expected. Everything you need is there. The hot spring is very good. Everyone in the family loves it. There are massage chairs to help you relax. The kitchen is fully equipped. Playing the piano with a view of the cherry blossoms is very good. There are also small games for us. Even though the house is a bit old, everything is okay. The owner pays attention to details very well. There are charging cables provided. If I have a chance, I would like to stay again.

There were not a lot of instructions before check-in, after checking in on the day, pointed out that the door was unlocked and straight in was fine. The parking spot is adequate, but the nearby roads are narrow and big cars require a certain difficulty. It felt like home after getting started with a lot of furniture, so not a lot of places to leave luggage.2nd floor estimate because we were not in a lot of people and not open for us to use, around the chain. The off-cooled place is older but all well used.There is no heating in the flushed room as it is colder in the winter. It is expressly advertised that there is a possibility of jumping electricity by turning on certain appliances at the same time, but no encounter. Overall satisfactory stay.

Yuko-san was great. She sent photos of the turn-off to get to the place, as it is not well-marked from the street. She met us upon arrival and showed us around. The road to approach the place is steep and narrow, and it was quite challenging to turn around at the end, even in a small car. We had an entire house, and it was quite spacious. Some areas seemed worn or older, and perhaps in the middle of a remodel, but it seemed fairly clean overall. Some of the ceilings were quite low, and passages between rooms were even lower. We had a couple of spiders as visitors, but nothing too strange for being in the country. The beds were quite hard, but I found some extra padding and was OK when I used that with the original bedding. It was nice to have an actual couch, too, as we haven't had many in our month in Japan. Yuko also had fresh produce and sauces we could eat/use for cooking. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use. Wifi worked well. We would gladly stay here again!

Great stay! The house was spacious, clean, and felt just like home. It’s located very close to Dazaifu, which made visiting the shrine super convenient, and it's also not far from central Fukuoka. We had a very comfortable stay and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere after a day of exploring. The host was kind and responsive, and everything we needed was provided. Would definitely stay here again!

Very proactive and welcoming host. Part of the building have been refurbish and felt right at home. Amenties and space is spotless and ready for well equipped. Just two minutes walk to the beach and local market, temples. Highly recommend.
