Thank you for checking out my house. This is a quiet, small, single-family home in the back of Ago Bay, almost in the middle of Shima City. I think it is convenient as a base for sightseeing in Shima City, and it is close to a fishing spot, golf course, and beach. Please use it with your family or friends. Please feel free to ask us if you have any requests, such as barbecues or cooking in the house during your stay. You can also cook hot pots at the inn during the hot pot season. We have a tabletop IH earthenware pot. There is also a hot plate type pot. Matsuzaka beef sukiyaki is also recommended. Please use it if you like. Recently, in the morning, the nightingale that visits every year is singing, so please enjoy the nightingale's song. This is a 10-minute walk from JR Omihachiko Station and an 8-minute walk to the nearest Biwako no Hama. You can see Lake Biwa from the building. A traditional Japanese-style house from the late Edo period. Fully renovated in 2019. This area is famous for its ceramic production, and old kilns are around. The location is 5 min walk to Tokoname station (two stops from the airport). A convenience store is few steps away, and, within walking distance, there are supermarket, pharmacy, laundry, etc. Good access to a duty-free shopping mall and a public spa & bath by train or bus. Easy to access to Nagoya(40 min), Kyoto(1.5h) and Osaka(2h).

——5 seconds to the crystal clear sea—— Oriya is located in a small fishing town of Mie. You can be away from the tourists and enjoy an authentic Japanese town. Oriya is a private lodge that is limited to one group per day. Outside the window, beautiful and calm sea and lush mountain scenery spreads out. Not only the scenery, but also the town itself is charming. Also it’s close to world heritage of “Kumanokodo”. It is possible to come to this place by public transportation.

Nostalgic Beach House A private guesthouse in Nigishima, Kumano City, facing the calm Nigishima Bay. To reach it, climb about 50 steps (5 min) for a rewarding view. *Note: not suitable for those with limited mobility. There is no TV or clock—disconnect and relax. *Extra fee applies for 2+ guests. For safety, a motion-sensor camera is at the entrance; it only takes still photos when someone passes, never continuous video, ensuring privacy.

Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We accept only one group at a time so you will have exclusive use of the entire property. Guesthouse is a typical old Japanese house, not like a resort Hotel or Ryokan for business. We have no meal service. Mikiura village is surrounded by the clear blue sea and natural green mountains.
