Vacation rentals with lake access in Mie

The place is spacious with parking space. Though for a foreigner driver, japan roads are very narrow. The sakura tree was in a full bloom behind the house so we did enjoy it so much. The grocery store is close. We did used the kitchen and it does feel like home.

this is a most amazing place we have ever stayed with air bnb, kitchen is equipped with all necessary cooking stuff and even various seasoning, bedrooms are superb.... Children have plenty of space inside the building and backyard for running, the space is more than enough for our 12 people group. ......... Perfect.......

What a beautiful house which is tastefully done. Beautiful and peaceful surrounding, walkable from the station. The hosts have taken care of all the basic requirements of the visitors. Very helpful host and I feel I should have spent more days in this place.

We absolutely loved this house! It has the cozy atmosphere of visiting your grandma's place if your grandma lived in Japan. It has spacious rooms, charming decor, and traditional tatami floors. The kitchen has everything you need, and the beds are some of the biggest and softest we've ever slept in! The nearest convenience store is about 7-8 minutes away, and the main train station is just 10 minutes by foot. Two smaller local stations are within a 2-minute walk. You can reach the lake in around 15 minutes, and there’s also a small, local sento nearby if that's your thing. Additionally, there are a few cafes close by and a couple of excellent restaurants within a 15-minute walk. Overall, an amazing experience - I highly recommend it!

The place was really good to stay at. If you're staying in Winter and Spring where the weather is colder, walking to the accommodation would be great! As the walk from the nearest train station is quite a distance, might not wanna do it during summer. But the place is really cozy and homely. Facilities and amenities were great too!

We had a lovely stay in Otsu at Shizuka’s lovely Japanese house. The place was well appointed with everything one would need right down to a brand new bicycle! While we did not cook a meal while we were there, the kitchen had everything we needed and was well described. Shizuka even brought us a pour over coffee maker when I asked if there was a coffee maker. I didn’t realize there was one already in the kitchen and the next morning she delivered another one. I would highly recommend this place if you want something away from the crowds of Kyoto but still within a short walk and a quick train ride.

I think that Chie's guest house is the most beautiful and peaceful airbnb I've stayed at. Separate from their main house, you get the whole guest house to yourself which allows for privacy but is also right next to their house in case anything happens. both her husband and daughter were also very kind and recommended some great restaurants and places to go nearby. while it is a little out of the way from kyoto, I would recommend it if you want a calm lakeside getaway, and I would definitely recommend it during late spring and summer so that you can take advantage of the water activities. I will definitely stay here again the next time I come to Shiga.
