Stabbur on lively small farms

This stay in a stabbur - a traditional Norwegian grain storage - will delight your children if they are outdoorsy - after playing with the chickens and ducks and cats and horses and dogs all afternoon my daughter told me it was her best day ever (to be fair, she says that a lot!). The space is cozy and somewhat dark - low ceiling - and there is no running water inside, so you have to be in the right frame of mind. It's lovely old wood, a deep bed upstairs, and the basics for cooking - though we did most of our cooking outside over a fire. The farm is run with volunteer help, so interesting people around - the person staying at the time of our visit was so very nice with my kids, allowed them to help, and best of all, walked up to the woods with us and showed us the enormous pet pigs, who loved a good scratching. You should come with a headlamp if you have one. We prepared pancake and French toast batter beforehand and brought it mixed, so easy. We loved this place!

We are very happy with our stay in Bø. Very cozy house with a fantastic garden where big and small had a good time. A great place where it was easy to find tranquility, with a nice blueberry forest as the closest neighbor. Everything worked perfectly. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Aase Ragnhild's place. The home is beautifully decorated. Three nice and large bedrooms. Large bathroom. Nice kitchen! Here's everything you could need. Peaceful and nice surroundings. And Aase Ragnhild is a very nice and caring host. Recommended!

In the middle of "butter" at Lifjell

A charming, cozy, well appointed and beautifully located cabin of Dag-Willy! Upon arrival, the cabin was already heated, there was a light on it and the fireplace was prepared, so we felt right at home. Communication with the host was great. And everything was tiptop clean. Overall, a great Airbnb experience.

Wow. I can not express how wonderful our experience was over new year at Berit's beautiful cabin. The memories for myself and my family will last a lifetime. The cabin itself is cosy, warm, with simply amazing views. The beds are comfy and there is everything you need. Berit is a wonderful host - so incredibly friendly and responsive. She left some toys for our two year old that were so appreciated and he loved them. My children had so much fun playing in deep snow on the hill. The stroke of midnight was a treat to behold as the neighbouring farms set off fireworks in the snow. What a wonderful holiday. I can not thank Berit enough.

Great and cozy cabin, everything worked as it should. The double bed was very narrow for 2 people. Fun with touring in the living room. Short distance to the slalom slope and cross country tracks. Cozy hostess who allowed us to send check out since the first day had miserable weather and the second day brilliant sun and the opportunity for a day of skiing. Thanks for us, we'd love to be back.

A nice cottage near Lifjell and Bø Sommarland. Nice views and peaceful location. We are a family of two adults and two kids and the cabin had everything we needed as we were there a weekend in the month of July. We thank Mariann Oline for a nice stay and for being prompt and clear in her communication! We highly recommend the cottage to other families who visit Lifjell/Telemark.

Well presented and beautiful cabin set in an amazing landscape with incredible views and easy access to the slopes. Perfect for a great family holiday. Tom was an ideal host - always responsive and very friendly.
