De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Wake up as the light spreads over the salt marshes. This detached dike house on the Bildtdijk is conscious without Wi-Fi and TV. A place to really slow down. Doors open, coffee in the sun, sipping wine at the picnic table with a CD or vinyl from the collection until the sun goes down. Two bedrooms with Auping mattresses, fully equipped kitchen and a 680 m² private garden with deck deck. The sea dyke is within walking distance. Holwerd (ferry Ameland) 20 minutes, Harlingen (Vlieland/Terschelling) 30 minutes.

Tastefully decorated vacation home with a spacious terrace and views over the IJsselmeer. Please note when booking: The annual Stavers festival will take place on the nearby grounds, mid-June 2026. Also in July 2026, the 18th edition of the Stavoren fishing days will be held nearby. The exact dates are not yet known. Forest, dunes and sea nearby. Due to the character of the house, the house is unfortunately not suitable for young children.

The eco-friendly cottage is situated in a peaceful setting, yet close to everything: the beach, the woods, the dunes, the mudflats, the nature reserve, and Hoorn's town center are all within walking distance. Sleeping here will be peaceful. The cottage is beautifully decorated with all sorts of wooden elements and fully equipped. You'll truly unwind here and fully enjoy the island. There's a bakery around the corner for delicious rolls, and the supermarket is about a 5-minute bike ride away.

This beautiful house right on the dike can accommodate up to 6 people. The centerpiece is the spacious terrace with its breathtaking view of the IJsselmeer. Whether spending time in the sun or watching the numerous surfers, sailing boats or water birds. Everyone really gets their money's worth here. The house was furnished with a lot of love to a high standard. Appliances such as a Bora hob and a Quooker hot water tap were installed in the kitchen. We look forward to seeing you.

Everything is within easy reach from this centrally located space. This spacious, detached upstairs apartment has a sheltered roof terrace and a living room with lots of windows that offer views of the famous Oldehove and the green, water-rich Prinsentuin. The spacious kitchen has all the facilities to prepare a delicious meal. The house has 3 bedrooms, a crib and high chair, 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms. A free parking space outside and a separate indoor garage to be booked.

The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.

The Kleine Walvis is a completely sustainable and new vacation home and is a light and luxuriously furnished with all the comforts for a nice family vacation. Small-scale green vacation park with playground for children. Ideally located on the island. Beach, village and restaurants around the corner. The house can accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. We do not rent the house to groups/young people under the age of 23.

Located in a quiet and peaceful area on the IJsselmeer, our house offers the perfect retreat for those seeking peace and quiet, while still wanting to be close to all the amenities and attractions of the region. After a wonderful day of water, wind, sun and forests, enjoy the relaxation in the sauna and luxury of our new house (built in 2024).

Beautiful apartment with 2 bedrooms. All to yourself. At the back, a spacious garden room with fireplace and next to it a private garden. You can heat the garden room with the fireplace. In winter, it may be too cold to sit there with just the fireplace. Bathroom has a 2-person bathtub and a double shower. The bathroom also has a washing machine and dryer. Wonderful apartment to stay completely on your own and enjoy the tranquility!
