The space looked exactly like the photos—beautiful and cozy, just like home. The location was perfect, very close to the city center. You will enjoy the stay at Nimal. Place is close to Unwatuna beach 20 min walking and almost 7 min by TukTuk. The place is spacious and you can find everything you need. The area is calm, relaxing and safe. Thank you and will definitely come again

We loved it here. A short walk to a reef break. Amazing breakfast & coffees. Lovely chilled vibe with the kindest of staff. We were so sad to leave. Can’t recommend it enough.

Staying with Nalaka and his family was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had on our trip. From the very first moment, we didn’t just feel welcome, we felt like we were visiting old friends. They have such big hearts and were always there with a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. The place itself was even more beautiful than the photos. Everything was super clean, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. But what made our stay unforgettable was the way Nalaka and his family treated us. We had so many lovely conversations, and it always felt like they genuinely cared about us and our experience. He also cooked for us a few times, and the food was honestly some of the best we had in Sri Lanka. So if you’re looking for a real, honest, and heartwarming Sri Lankan experience, not just a place to sleep, but a place to connect, then you should definitely book this Airbnb. We’ll always remember this stay, and we’re so grateful we got to meet Nalaka and his wonderful family.

We had an excellent stay at this apartment and appreciated all the thoughtful details. Communication with Dakshan was smooth and supportive from start to finish - he was very helpful, always quick to respond, and offered great assistance whenever we had questions or needed guidance. The apartment itself was in top-notch condition, featuring powerful air conditioning, fast internet, and a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The spacious layout and separate showers in each room gave everyone plenty of privacy and comfort. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the modern yet cosy feel instantly made us feel at home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d gladly stay here again.

Had a lovely and relaxing weekend getaway at Gianluca’s beautiful apartment. The place is just a stone’s throw from amazing seafront restaurants and shops, perfectly located in the heart of Ahangama. It captures the town’s calm and quiet charm, while still being lively and entertaining. We woke up each morning to the gentle sound of ocean waves—such a dream. Gianluca was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and full of great local tips that made our stay even better. Thank you for the wonderful experience! We stayed at Sajeewa’s home for three weeks and could not recommend it enough. It’s spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to cook meals and save money on eating out. The gardens around the house are lush and invite lots of birds for watching in the early mornings. The balcony is such a highlight, it’s serene and peaceful, you could spend hours there chatting, working or simply staring into nature. Sajeewa and his family are so hospitable and very easy to communicate with, they made our stay feel very homely. Local shops are within walking distance and Weligama beach is a 20 minute walk at best. We would definitely stay with Sajeewa again if we’re back in Weligama.

We really loved our stay in the apartment. It's very nicely designed and has everything that's needed. Also, we really enjoyed cooking in the outside kitchen. The place has a nice working area if you ever need to be productive. Eva was a great host. She was there for us all the time and helped us a lot with everything. The beach is very close and several shops aren't far away.

We stayed 2 nights at Casa MiJa, and totally loved every minute of it. Mani, caretaker for the villa was very helpful and made the entire experience worth it. He made sure we were at ease at all times and sorted anything and everything out for us that we needed any assistance with. The villa was amazing, and the location was perfect. Beautiful beach adjacent to it. The only drawback of it was the common areas of the villa do not have air conditioning, so with the weather running quite hot; we couldn’t use it or spend as much time there as we would have liked to. If they can fix that, this would be the best villa to stay at in the area. Everything else was amazing. Would definitely want to stay here again when I’m back in Mirissa, Sri Lanka.

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

We stayed for 2 weeks at Gayans place, it looks exactly like the pictures with lots of space. The bed is really comfy and the shower has hot water although the pressure is low. Me and my boyfriend both work online, so the desks were great however 10GB of fibre internet was not enough for both of us to work for a full day You do need a bike for the location as there aren’t many restaurants in walking distance. We rented a different one because the bike provided had no mirrors I know this is a family home, however the owners were occasionally cleaning in the garden which made it feel a bit less private at times Overall, I would recommend Gayan’s place, it was great value for money and we had a lovely time in Weligama, thank you ☺️

Amazing place! Beautiful pool and incredible views. Mrs Ira is so lovely and gave us a cooking lesson for free!! Vincent sent a really helpful guide and the property is really one of a kind. Area is kind of remote (walk to jungle beach but a bit further from unawatuna) which is nice and secluded and easy to get around with Kumar’s tuk tuk rides and connections :))

Very private and comfortable space 5 minutes walk from Kabalana beach. Garden is huge and nicely shaded. Outdoor shower. Nice upper and lower balcony. Very lovely place

Terrene Villa was everything and more. Jalal responded quickly to any queries before arrival and during the booking process. We stayed for two weeks as a family of 4, plus daughter's boyfriend. The villa is stunning and just as described. Sri Lanka is the gift that keeps on giving and Terrene Villa is the perfect place to enjoy it all. Suda and Judi (apologies if I have spelt their names wrong) were a delight and looked after us very well. Their breakfasts were enjoyable and the fresh juices were delicious. The gardens were kept beautifully and what a joy to see monkeys in the trees and on the roof! Viraj sorted all our travel and day trips out and was always quick to reply and make suggestions. We were so sad to leave the villa, it really is an oasis of calm.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating. The other workers were also always there to help, smiling and kept the grounds pristine and beautiful. Everything was clean, even the linens smelled so fresh. The pool is amazing and private, with the villa itself situated in a wonderful little beach town. The price is steep for Sri Lanka but I can’t find any other complaints. They have food and drinks available for purchase, and the welcome drinks were so delicious. I would return because of the hospitality and the beauty of the property.

Our stay at the Nest Residence,m was absolutely wonderful! The property was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to ensure guests feel at home. The attention to detail in the amenities provided made our experience stress-free and enjoyable. The location was convenient, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to key attractions. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We highly recommend the Nest Residence to anyone and We’ll definitely be back in the future!

We stayed at Sanjayas place for four nights. The family was super kind and helped us with local advice such as restaurants and must-sees close by. They arranged transport to the house and again when we left. Their hospitality was warm and made us feel welcome. We would definitly recommend this place to others.

I can't recommend this place enough. Directly opposite Pearl Divers if you are visiting beautiful Unawatuna for diving and only a few steps from the beach. The studio is beautiful, has everything you need and thoughtfully designed to provide maximum comfort. I was welcomed by Ranga with a refreshing coconut and everyone was easily contactable and able to help with any queries and to offer local advice about where to go out. Very worth for the price! Easy to walk to nearby beaches and cafes. Definitely hard to sleep in at all since the road gets quite loud with busses honking. The house is next to the forest/jungle so there are many small bugs like ants in the bathroom and sometimes the bedroom but it’s not so bad, just something to be aware of. The power went out a few times during our stay but apparently that’s pretty normal for this region especially if it is raining. Overall would still recommend for good location and price. Padma was able to do our laundry as well for a small fee

The old chilli house really did feel like a home from home. In a great location Kris and his family were very warm and welcoming. Kris is a natural host and had contacts for anything we wanted to do. From Tuk Tuk and Scooter rides when needed to his amazing knowledge of the area. We were so lucky to experience this little slice of paradise. The old chilli house has beautiful rooms, with attention to small, homey details. Do not hesitate to book, it’s a popular airbnb for a reason!
