Stag Cottage (built C1580) is a beautiful, quaint, historic Grade II Listed building hidden away in the ancient, hilltop Pennine village of Heptonstall. Stag Cottage oozes charm and retains many original features, including stone mullioned windows, arched lintels, wooden beams and a king post truss with wattle and daub infill. Turton Tower is a short walk away and Bromley Cross train station is 1.5 miles with a direct line to Manchester and Clitheroe. The Lancashire cycle way runs past the doorstep as does as the cycling stage of Ironman uk.
