Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mellieha Bay

Our stay in Scicli was absolutely perfect. The accommodation itself was beautifully designed, with authentic touches and thoughtful details that made us feel instantly at home. What made the experience truly special was the location — one of the most beautiful areas we’ve stayed in during our time in Sicily. We felt immersed in the true Sicilian vibe, surrounded by friendly locals, fantastic restaurants, and a vibrant, picturesque town center just a short walk away. A heartfelt thank you to Diego, who was incredibly responsive and supportive throughout our stay. No matter the hour or the question, he was always ready with helpful advice and a friendly attitude. His kindness truly elevated our experience. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy real Sicilian charm, warm hospitality, and a perfectly curated space.

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. A Perfect Stay in the Heart of Malta! We absolutely loved our stay at this gem of an Airbnb in Rabat, right next to the stunning, historic city of Mdina. The location couldn’t have been better—just a stone’s throw from charming restaurants (GO TO YANA'S), cozy cafes (GO TO CHALK), and beautiful walks through the medieval streets. It was also the ideal central hub for exploring the rest of Malta, with easy access to transport links and a peaceful atmosphere to come back to after a day of adventuring. We did hire a car and a big car park at the top of Labini street The property itself was spotless, stylishly furnished, and had all the comforts of home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to make our stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. The hosts were warm, responsive, and gave us excellent local tips that really made our trip special. We’d return in a heartbeat—highly recommended to anyone visiting Malta!

Malta ist immer einen Besuch Wert, aber Gozo hat die Position der ruhigen und grünen Seite der Inseln. Und inmitten des Herzens von Gozo in Viktoria befindet sich in einer ruhigen, zentralen Seitenstrasse im Stile eines 'house of character' das Apartment von Rowen. Wer dort einkehrt, wohnt nicht nur zur Miete, sondern lebt dort die Zeit, die er dort verbringt: grüßende Nachbarn, alle Annehmlichkeiten des täglichen Lebens sind in der Umgebung wie Restaurants, Eisdiele, Supermarkt (beste Austern!!), und vom Zentrum kommt man an jeden Punkt der Insel in weniger als 20 Minuten. Rowan ist ein perfekter Gastgeber, das Apartment ist 1A gepflegt, es fehlt an nichts incl. allem nötigen Beiwerk zum kochen wie Öl, Salz und Pfeffer. Das mag eine Kleinigkeit sein, aber es ist immer sehr unangenehm, wenn man diese Dinge erst selber für ein paar Tage einkaufen muss. Mein Tip: eine klare Empfehlung, einfach ausprobieren!

Dom ma niesamowity klimat, szczególnie wrażenie robi taras, okna i basen. Środek wygląda lepiej niż na zdjęciach. Gospodarz był elastyczny co do godzin zameldowania i wymeldowania co było ogromnym plusem.

This place is absolutely stunning. So peaceful, both inside and out in the beautiful garden. Authentic & historic. The local village and area are very interesting to walk around - I recommend the Zebbug loop (if you don't mind a steep hill!) Very well stocked, even a bottle of prosecco was provided, beach towels, etc. Ana was very helpful, recommending local beaches and restaurants, and always responsive, kindly allowing me a late checkout on the last day. My one comment, as someone else has said, is it should be made clearer in the description that the place is all really one room, with no real separation between bedroom, kitchen and living room. This doesn't matter if you are 1 or 2, but may affect groups of 3 depending on their makeup, as there is no real privacy.

Great hosts….and a lovely chance to stay in a historic dwelling in a traditional neighborhood. There’s a rooftop deck, a jacuzzi, a beautiful kitchen, this place has it all!

Die Wohnung hat wirklich eine unglaublich schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf Modica, sehr empfehlenswert als Ausgangspunkt auch für Ausflüge nach Ragusa , Noto, Syrakus u. Scicli . Schön war aber immer das „Heimkehren“ und noch ein bisschen den Blick auf die romantisch beleuchtete Stadt zu genießen ….

The apartment was really clean and the equipment is rather new. Everything worked just fine, we did not use television but WiFi was great. The location of the house was ideal for Our Trips and close to the ferry to Gozo. we had a car and did not use the bus stop in front of the house. But there was plenty of room for the car in the garage under the building. Nearest spot spot for a swim in super clear water was just 50 meters away. Great for a visit in the morning before breakfast. Good an nice restaurants are also really close across the street.

Ottimo appartamento, a 5 minuti da una bellissima spiaggia, ha tutto ciò che serve per una breve vacanza (compresi giochi per i bambini per il mare). Vista spettacolare. Lorna e lawrence sono host perfetti, sempre reattivi e disponibili.

Przepiękne, czyste mieszkanie. Idealne dla większej liczby osób. Przestronne, metraż w okolicy 100m2. Widok z balkonu robi wrażenie. Gospodyni pomocna, bardzo szybko odpowiadała na wiadomości. Z przyjemnością wrócę i będę polecać innym :))

The apartment is big, comfortable and the view from the spacious balcony is breathtaking. The location is great. it is the best place for families with children. we highly recommend this apartment and the host. Mary

Great stay in this BnB. Really spacious, very clean, Randolph had spot on communication and we had no trouble checking in. He was accommodating and clear both before we arrived and after we left! Location is great, nice little snorkelling area in view of the apartment and a main sandy beach 5 minutes walk. Multiple restaurants if you want a bite to eat. Nothing negative to say at all. When we come back to Malta we will be staying here again!

Pool was immaculate, surroundings were so beautiful. And Jonathan and his father were very friendly and helpful. I wish we had more time there!

We had a fantastic holiday at the apartment and we didn’t want to come home. The apartment was huge and had everything we needed. Our 3 year old son loved zooming around the apartment and the space outside and the pool was perfect. Alison was the best host ever, such a lovely person and gave us great recommendations which we really appreciated. She had left plenty of essential groceries for our arrival which was super duper helpful, and even brought us an amazing pizza on our last night too. The location is so handy for shops and we could walk with a pram to restaurants nearby. We found a few local parks for our son to play in within walking distance too. We can’t recommend Alison’s apartment enough, and I’m sure we will come back in the future x

Frank was a very genuine and friendly Maltese local. A true gentleman. He was so informative about his lovely island. We just wish we had more time than the 2 days that we had there.

Très beau et bon logement. Il est plus grand en vrai que sur les photos, donc très bonne surprise. Le séjour s’est très bien passé et Caroline a toujours été une hôte réactive et à l’écoute. PS : pensez à ramener des pièces faire fonctionner pour la climatisation

Such a great find, we loved the pool and hot tub! Rooms were clean and we pretty much had everything we needed. Location perfect for what we wanted and was easy to get about with Bolt. Local area not the prettiest but good selection of restaurants/bars and we had a an amazing time and can highly recommended

Lovely, spacious apartment that was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Really well located too, with a supermarket immediately next door and lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. If you’re up for a longer walk you can even get to Sliema within 15 minutes. Really easy to jump a taxi to Valletta and anywhere else on the island too, or there’s a bus stop right outside the supermarket. Jane was a super host, letting us check-in early and responding within seconds to rescue us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the building!

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus some lovely extras like fresh coffee and an ironing board. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy for a quick turnaround of clothes. The views from the apartment were extraordinary, both during the day and at night. We didn’t use any of the common areas of the apartment block and wouldn’t have used the pool, so we can’t comment on those. The apartment was ideal for our holiday. We had a car and spent our 10-day stay exploring Gozo and Malta with ease. We would happily stay again if the mattress is replaced—it was very, very uncomfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay. Thank you!

We stayed in four properties during our trip to Malta & Gozo. This was by far the most professional and communicative host with the highest standard. The property has been cleverly thought through- from potato peelers and cheese graters to deckchairs- they are excellent quality. You are made to feel that you are valued and the host has not provided you with cheap utensils. The finish overall was amazing. It was well stocked with everything- indoor and pool towels. The tv is easy to use- we got Amazon Prime working easily. The pool is gorgeous and very peaceful. We felt safe as a family of four and found getting places using Bolt no problem.

J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans cet appartement à Modica. Le logement est spacieux, très propre et la literie est vraiment confortable. Facile d’accès, il dispose en plus d’une belle terrasse idéale pour se détendre. Mention spéciale à l’hôte, très accueillante et sympathique, toujours disponible pour aider ou conseiller. Je recommande vivement ce logement pour un séjour agréable en Sicile

Znakomity wybór, polecany stokrotnie. Szczególne podziękowania dla wspaniałych gospodarzy. Duża troska i pomoc dla gości.Ray po zameldowaniu zawiózł nas do sklepu. Pomógł wnieść bagaże. Jesteśmy starszą para i ta uprzejmość i empatia bardzo nas wzruszyła. Za co od serca dziękujemy. Bardzo łatwa komunikacja z gospodarzem. Miejsce łatwo znaleźć. Nieskazitelnie czyste wszystkie pomieszczenia. Zmiana ręczników, mycie okien po ulewnym deszczu ! Wszystkie urządzenia sprawne i zgodnie z opisem. Jest wszystko czego potrzebujesz do przygotowania posiłku. Piękna okolica do zwiedzania, dobre miejsce do spacerów, restauracje, bary i kioski. Komunikacyjne połączenie z miejscowościami Gozo bardzo dobre. Autobusy przy terminalu promowym 2-3 minuty. Autobus 301 do Viktori/ Rabat regularnie co dwadzieścia minut. Widok z balkonu! Widok na morze, port, wyspę Comino, Maltę. Niezapomniany spektakl, zwłaszcza kąpiące się konie. A przede wszystkim niezapomniani gospodarze. Dziękujemy. Grazyna i Teodor.
