Monthly Rentals in Mdina

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. We enjoyed our family stay in Marion’s home. The location was perfect - a quiet street in old Rabat and close to Mdina. The beds were comfy too!

A cosy place to stay in Mdina. Josephine was lovely and really helpful. She gave great directions to the apartment (which can be tricky to find). She also gave great local recommendations to avoid the tourist chaos and prices. The place is cosy. There are heaters if it gets a little chilly and well furnished with everything you need for a stay including some bits to cook with. We arrived with a car and parked near the Greek Gates. It was only a short, 5 minute walk to the apartment. We came and went multiple times throughout the couple of days and had no issues finding a space to park.

The flat was very close from a medieval walled town called Mdina. It was absolutely beautiful surrounding. There were so many restaurants to go for as well. My favorite was Yana's which was just a minute walk from the flat. There were small shops near by where you can buy fruits and vegetables to cook. If you want to visit Valletta, you can take a bus for 30mins. Overall, the flat was an ideal place to stay as it was so quiet and peaceful and convenient to visit many places.
