Family-friendly vacation rentals in Mavrovouni Beach

Excellent guesthouse, perfect for a family that wants a peaceful and relaxing holiday. George was extremely friendly and always willing to help. The place was spotless, and the geothermal system worked perfectly. As for the view, words are not enough to describe it. Thank you very much, George, we will visit it again at the first opportunity.

This house was very easy to find with great free parking and easy to get in and out of the building with the keys. The house itself is absolutely stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. Very roomy and spacious living room, well stocked kitchen, 2 bath rooms, washer and dryer and 3 bedrooms with 4 beds. Could easily sleep many many people. The balcony had a lovely view of the marina and many restaurants to choose from in the area, one even right downstairs. This is a gem, and anyone who stays here is lucky to do so. We didn’t want to leave.

Fantastic villa in panoramic quiet area with a great view. Very comfortable rooms with comfortable closets, impeccable kitchen fully equipped, nice living room, delightful terrace overlooking the sea, generally very nice house!!! The pool is impeccable, for young and old children, very clean, most enjoyable! We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful villa and highly recommend it! Thank you so much for hosting.

This was our second time here, and it was as good if not better than our first. George was again the consummate host - friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive - and the accommodations themselves were so comfortable. Beautiful villa in a peaceful surrounding close to the city of Kalamata! We enjoyed a great weekend by the pool. The hostess-made us feel very welcome and gave us great tips for the city! would def recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Katerina’s lovely house. The village is charming and has excellent taverns. The weather was quite cold so we also spent a lot of time in the house which was super cosy and had a great fireplace to keep us warm. The kitchen is also very well equipped and nothing was missing to prepare food for the whole family. The area is very lovely, preserved from tourists with a lot of nature around. 100% recommended.

We had an excellent and comfortable stay; the house is very beautiful, with a great view and made with very nice taste and measure. The location is very convenient, next to Mystras , very close to Sparta and other picturesque villages and taverns and at the same time isolated and in nature. Exceptionally friendly, warm and helpful landlords, well-kept property with a small number of stone cottages, not far from town and beach. Climbing and hiking paradise, breathtaking surroundings, pretty town. Cultural activities to Monemvasia, Mycenae, Nafplion possible. Absolutely recommended!!!

Anastasios's home was comfortable, with exquisite views, safe parking, a short drive to Gythio town and a range of sights and restaurants, but also walking distance to 2 great tavernas in the local village. His restaurant recommendations and suggestions for things to do were excellent. We would definitely love to visit again.

Lovely apartment, short walk to local grill place and supermarket, short drive to the beach and fish restaurants (tables on the sand :-)). 2 doubles but she was able to make up a day bed in the larger room for our second child. Plus there was a kitten !!

A great place where I spent a quiet night. 15min walk to the city center and not far from the exit of the city. Maria was very responsive! I highly recommend it!

The property is in a quiet environment the bedrooms are very comfortable, a prominent advantage that the pool is built inside the house and can be used in any weather and prevents the entry of insects. The space is not large but gives value and pampering.

We had a wonderful stay here as a family of four. Our children spent most of the week in the pool! The views were absolutely stunning and the villa was clean and well equipped. Aircon was much appreciated too. Gail was an attentive host, quickly responding to messages I sent her and happy to answer any questions we had. We were very sad to have to leave at the end of the week!

The view from the house is exceptional, you will be quiet between the sea and the mountain. Tasso is a really good host, very welcoming. The house is spacious and very nice, I would recommend it 100%

We had a great time at this beautiful villa, the sea view is amazing, the sunset is breathtaking. The house is very comfortable, well equipped, we came to 4 +1 baby and everything was perfect. Akis is charming and welcomed us very warmly. To be done again!

We had an amazing stay. We had the ground floor apartment of a three storey property where Stathis family resides- even though this was the case, we had our own privacy to the grounds and the pool. The family were extremely lovely and we hardly saw them. The property was spotless and the grounds were extremely beautiful and peaceful with the fruit and herb trees surrounding the property. The kids had a great time in the pool. We loved our stay and we loved Kalamata!

Goody was outstanding as a host. Lovely and friendly manner - really made us feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. If we needed anything that was not on the list of amenities, she would either supply or offer to get that too. It was a lovely villa and had extremely comfortable beds, which is our biggest issue sometimes. Bedrooms were very well equipped with storage space with their drawers, and plenty of hangers and space in the wardrobes too!! Washing lines outside, but within your villa balcony area, were brilliant too, for drying the washing outside. Plenty of line space, also important to us, as we travel light and need to wash clothing etc frequently). Maria is the fabulous cleaning lady, who worked around our time schedule, and again, very friendly and accommodating always keen to please us, above and beyond her duties too, lovely lady. Lovely clean swimming pool too. So all in all a great stay here, and would definitely stay here again another year, when we come back.

A fabulous place, with lovely rooms, great facilities, a sunny pool, sea and sunset views, and warm hosts. From the very friendly and helpful first greeting, the family made us feel right at home. We did a lot of cooking and loved eating meals on the balcony area outside the kitchen. Everything is simple, including parking. The bedroom is gorgeous, with views and a little balcony. Highly recommended place in wonderful Kardamyli.

Just a short walk from a picturesque mountain village, Villa Sunset is a truly incredible place to stay. The veranda gives views over rolling slopes of olive groves and down to the sea below. The pool is huge - it’s worth noting that it is VERY deep if you’re with small children - and thanks to its position it’s a wonderful place to find some peace and quiet. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely, particularly the master suite in the tower! Neochori, the local village, is a 5 minute stroll away. You’ll find a bakery that does coffees, fresh bread and sweet treats, as well as a minimarket which is good in an emergency (but be warned it only takes cash and there are no ATMs in the village). The village also has a restaurant and a really wonderful Taverna owned by the amazing Maria, which we ended up eating at most nights. A 10 minute drive away is Stoupa, which is quite touristy but has some nice restaurants and bars. A similar distance away is Agios Nikolaos, a picturesque fishing village with a great snorkelling spot. Although you can walk to Agios, it’s definitely worth renting a car or making use of local taxi services. To sum-up, Villa Sunset is a truly amazing sanctuary in a characterful and relatively unspoiled corner of Greece. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
