My friend and I celebrated a birthday here and stayed for five nights. It took us a little time to adjust, but once we did, we had an amazing and high-quality stay. The Popo house was perfect spacious, well-equipped, and featuring a big pool and a fully functional kitchen that we made great use of. Popo House is located on the sunrise side, allowing us to wake up early and enjoy breathtaking sunrises. Every morning, we could walk down and watch the local people working on their seaweed plantations, which was a unique and fascinating experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the two incredible dogs, Millie and Poppy. They took care of us throughout our visit, providing both companionship and security. At night, they would bark if they sensed unfamiliar people, yet they were so well-trained never entering the house uninvited or stealing food. They were truly polite and loving, and saying goodbye to them was the hardest part. Overall, we absolutely loved this place. It’s perfect!

Hashim’s place in Fumba Town is a true sanctuary. Clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for rest, reflection, or remote work. The space is modern, airy, and filled with natural light, with a balcony that feels like a private retreat. Fumba itself is calm, secure, and beautifully laid out — ideal if you want a break from the tourist buzz. What really sets this stay apart is Hashim himself: kind, respectful, and incredibly helpful without ever being intrusive. He genuinely wants you to feel at home, and it shows. Whether you’re creating, healing, or just needing a safe, quiet space — this is it. I left feeling more grounded and clear than when I arrived. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

We just had an incredible stay at this beachfront villa in Zanzibar. It an incredibly beautiful location, and the house is spacious and clean. The real star of the property, beside the gorgeous beach is the staff. From the management agency, to the house manager Sule, to Tatu our housekeeper and Fabio the most friendly and warm Maasai guard- everyone made my daughter and I feel right at home. We hired a fantastic chef, Robinson through the agency and he made the best food at our request every day and the cost was reasonable. This is a must book for a peaceful vacation in Zanzibar away from the commercial hotel scene. Thank you Paolo for hosting us!

We loved our stay at Theresia’s place, very private and peaceful, Theresia was very responsive to messages and very helpful. The property was lovely. Sam and Flola were very helpful and friendly and Ramadam made us a lovely Swahili breakfast every morning. We would absolutely recommend and if we are ever in Bwejuu again we would definitely stay again.

Мы с женой провели в этом прекрасном доме 8 дней. Огромный дом в огромном частном саду выходящим прямо на пляж. То есть до моря 20 метров. Хороший вид на море с веранды. Дом и сад обслуживают три человека, все очень приветливы и всегда рады помочь. Надо иметь в виду, что в доме нет кондиционера. Проветривание идет за счет открытых окон и с вечера дует хороший бриз с моря. Но под утро может быть немного душно.

Unsere Unterkunft war einfach fantastisch! Alles war blitzsauber, bestens ausgestattet und genau so, wie wir es uns gewünscht haben. Die Lage war perfekt – etwas abseits der riesigen Touristenhotels, sodass wir unsere Ruhe hatten. Das Frühstück war super lecker, allerdings wurde auf Allergene leider keine Rücksicht genommen. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an Marco, Antonio und Mara – alle drei waren unglaublich herzlich, und Mara hat uns sogar frische Kokosnüsse vorbeigebracht. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

All hotel staff always very helpful, friendly, and professional. They were able to solve all our wishes and requirements quickly and willingly. Even cooking delicious meals. The accommodation has a great location, and a wonderful view of the ocean.

Mohammed and staff were very accommodating during our stay. If you are looking for a location that’s centrally located because you want to explore the island then this is great. It’s also easy access to stone town without being directly in stone town. Villa was as advertised and the daily Swahili breakfast was an unexpected nice surprise. I’d go back.

Overall, this place was fantastic. It’s a traditional Zanzibar design so it’s not a modern place, but exactly what we wanted. We were thrilled to be there with our large group of two families, including 5 children. Rasheed was excellent and accommodated all of our requests. Food, especially breakfast, was delicious. The beach outside the villa is pristine, with white sand beaches and a beautiful Indian Ocean right outside the doorstep. The private pool was incredible. The villa rental subsidizes the Tamani Foundation and its students, so staying here contributes to the education of local kids. Win win.

We rented a two floor apartment at Villa Mina for a month. It was spacious and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from both balconies were spectacular. There were loungers and beds to use which gave a little extra privacy from the beach sellers. Lots of choice of nearby restaurants. Breakfasts were excellent with coffee and freshly made fruit juice, fruit, eggs to order and a variety of pastries and breads. There is a swimming pool that can be used about a 5-minute walk away, which my girls enjoyed. Mina and everyone there are very friendly and will help with anything you ask. They made us very welcome. It felt like a home-from-home, only with a spectacular beach in front. We would love to return and hopefully will!

Dieses Airbnb ist der absolute Wahnsinn!!! Ich habe selten eine so nette und freundliche Person getroffen wie Calister. Wir wurden total lieb in Empfang genommen, wir haben eine Führung durch die Villa erhalten und uns wurde alles gezeigt. Die Villa ist Top ausgestattet und super modern und sauber und es riecht herrlich nach Citrus Duft. Der Kühlschrank war gefüllt mit Wasserflaschen und wir haben einen Obstkorb erhalten. Das gesamte Auftreten von Calister und Ihrem Team ist super professionell und man fühlt sich sehr Willkommen. Absolutes Highlight der Villa ist der tolle Pool, mit Blick aufs Meer. Ich würde diese Unterkunft immer wieder buchen und empfehle Sie definitiv weiter!!!

Im Januar besuchten wir Zanzibar (ich zum 4. Mal und hatte zuvor in diversen schönen Unterkünften gewohnt). Die Airborne Kite- und Surfvilla ist ein echtes Juwel in einem wunderschönen Garten/kleinem Dschungel gelegen. Wir fühlten uns gleich herzlich willkommen und auch wie zu Hause. Alles,was wir zum Kochen benötigten,war vorhanden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es reichlich und der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Das Team von Jan war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn wir auf der Terrasse saßen,hatten wir oft das Gefühl,wir befinden uns im Zoo.Da gibt es 4 verschmuste Katzen,die uns täglich besuchten (manchmal wollten sich auch 2 weitere dazugesellen😊),ein Perlhuhn,eine Maus (die es immer wieder schaffte,den Katzen zu entkommen),eine Echse (die sich zur Mittagszeit gerne auf den Steinen sonnte),Bushbabys (die wir leider nur hörten),verschiedene Vogelarten,Zikaden….u.v.m.. As our first time traveling abroad, we felt right at home at The Zanzibar Beach House (which made saying goodbye so hard.) We were blown away with the views, the amazing self-catering unit to cook our own foods (to stay within our budget) and the help we received from the hosts were great! We will miss this piece of paradise 🏝 and we only wish for everyone else planning their trip to Zanzibar to take our advise and book the stay at the unique Zanzibar Beach House! Sehr schöne Unterkunft in bester Lage direkt am Strand. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit sind sehr gut. Die Terrasse, die bei Flut nur einen Sprung vom Indischen Ozean entfernt ist, ist einzigartig. Wir haben in Jambiani keine andere Unterkunft gesehen, die solch einen privaten Zugang zum Meer bietet. Bei Ebbe kann man sich immer noch in den vorhandenen Whirlpool legen😎 Es gab in den zehn Tagen, die wir vor Ort waren zweimal Stromausfall, dies wurde aber umgehend durch ein Stromaggregat aufgefangen. Hakuna matata! Was unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht hat war Barau, der Manager vor Ort. Er wohnt in der Nachbarschaft, ist immer erreichbar und ein sehr hilfsbereiter, freundlicher und zuvorkommender Mensch. Er kümmert sich sehr gut um seine Gäste und hilft zuverlässig dabei alle Arten von Touren, ob zu Land oder zu Wasser zu organisieren. Außerdem bieten Barau und seine Frau Zuhura sehr gutes authentisches Essen zu absolut erschwinglichen Preisen an. Also unbedingt ausprobieren!

Amazing location with endless beachfront right out the front door. Tons of restaurants within a short walk. Pool was amazing, cleaning crew was super great, and cleaned multiple times a day. Included breakfasts were amazing, but we didn’t pay extra to eat lunch or dinner there, since almost all other nearby locations were cheaper.

Zamda and Ovi took very good care of us and made our stay a once in a lifetime. The place is simple, but very functional and has an authentic, yet beautiful touch. The beach is very nice with some restaurants and bars in walkable distance. However Jambiani is a small, quiet village and for party life you need to ride for 10 minutes to Paje where all the action is. If you are looking for authentic, beautiful and real, this is the right place. If you need it to be quiet at night, this one could be a challenge, since the local kids play near the house until late at night. We loved that authenticity very much.

This home right on the shores of Jambiani Beach is a dream come true. We loved every minute of our stay. Kerstin was an excellent host and communicated exceptionally well. Sulei (the local caretaker) was very helpful and provided daily advice for activities, food, taxis, etc. Overall, this home is in an incredible location and was the perfect place to have a restful vacation.

We had a great 3 night stay! Hassan and his son were both very responsive and helpful, quick to address our needs and help us arrange local activities/transportation for a great price. They also were able to do our laundry for a decent price, which was very convenient! The location is also amazing — just across the street from the beach and nestled in a fairly quiet but lively and local area of Jambiani. This place was a great value, thanks again!
