A quiet and peaceful town in the middle of the Dolenjska forests on top of a mountain that has been inhabited for more than 2500 years. You will wake up to the singing of birds and the murmur of a stream in the valley. This part of Slovenia is ecologically the most unspoiled. The property is not fully equipped to the latest standards, but we will always be able to serve you homemade beer, homemade whiskey and deer salami. We also get other food products from the surrounding farms.

We're welcoming you to Cozy Yak, our cozy mountain cottage with a breathtaking view of all the valley. It's just been renewed it and it's our family's regular getaway spot. It has a wonderful living area, two balconies, two bedrooms, one of which is a sleeping loft, you'll fall in love with. House is surrounded by a big garden (800m2) with lots of grass, trees and berry bushes. It's just 15 min drive from wonderful Velenje lake and beach, so you won't miss a second of fun either.

The Riverside Home

Our home is empty most of the year as we moved abroad. After our own positive guest experiences, we decided to share our home with other travel enthusiast. We renovated and adapted the rooms for guests and hope you will enjoy the atmosphere and excellent location. The apartment is in a very old building on the 1st floor (w/o elevator) in the old town directly on the riverbank. It has a beautiful view of the river and in the winter of the castle when the trees are w/o leaves.

Sprostite se v tem edinstvenem in mirnem bivališču. Hiška na skalci se nahaja v naravi, na samem, neposredno nad reko Krko. Že sam pogled na vodo nas pomiri, poskrbeli pa smo še za prijetno urejene prostore, da bo vaš odklop res pravi oddih za dušo in telo. Hiška se nahaja v vasici Krka, pri izviru reke Krke - v bližini je veliko naravnih in kulturnih znamenitosti, prestolnica Slovenije pa je oddaljena le pol ure vožnje.

In the morning, from your warm bed, you can gaze through the panoramic glass, and admire the magnificent view of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. In the hut is one double bed with a pull-out extra bed, small kitchen with fridge, outdoor terrace with deck chair. Every hut has its own bathroom in the immediate vicinity (15m-30m).
