Historical Vintage Villa Within a Mountain and Castle

Rediscover mid-century modern aesthetics at this vintage inspired home. The residence features warm woods, contrasting textures and motifs, light hues, a floating staircase, a minimalist interior design approach, and rooftop views from the balcony to the castle and mountains. Located in the old town, nearby the church of Saint John, you will find the area quiet and silent, all you need to spend some relaxing days. Casa do Adro offers all the amenities of a new modern house, but with the retro/vintage touch and comfort. On the ground floor we have a fully vintage style equipped kitchen with dish washer, laundry, living room and service toilet. There is a big table where 8 people can comfortably sit for dinner, and where we daily serve breakfast with Regional fruit, home made jams, juice and locally bread. The living room offers a nice flat TV and sofa. You can go through 100 international channels, or simply rest or read a book, inside or outside on the terrace. The first floor has two rooms, both with double bed. The bathroom is shared between the two rooms and each room offers air conditioning and splendid views over the mountains and the castle of Porto de Mós. Guests will have access to the whole house. I have limited availability, even though I am reachable 24 hours on the phone and email. Whenever I can, and if my guests feel like, I enjoy a good chat and get to know people. Sharing experiences makes part of the Airbnb concept. The Villa do Adro is located in the historical area of Porto de Mós village. Guests can easily walk to places of interest such as Porto de Mós Castle, the town hall square, and the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros Natural Parks with great trails, caves and views. Parking is always available by the house. The walk to the Village takes 5 mins, and from there you can take buses to the main attractions (Nazaré, Leiria, Fátima, Batalha, etc). We will get in touch with the guests to arrange the check in.

What a fantastic place! Location is right beside the beach in Paredes. Full kitchen, dining room and living room, and second floor bedroom with a nice, comfortable bed. The view of the beach and sunset from the small second floor balcony is stunning! There’s a small, but well stocked grocery store a few doors away, and a few beach cafes and restaurants as well in the town. Would return here for sure.

Fabian a été un hôte vraiment accueillant, chaleureux et très flexible. Il a su nous mettre à l’aise dès notre arrivée et s’est montré disponible tout au long du séjour. L’endroit est exactement comme sur les photos : calme, paisible, décoré avec goût, et parfaitement équipé (wifi, cuisine, literie confortable…). La vue depuis le rooftop est magnifique (surtout les couchés de soleil), et c’est un vrai petit coin de paradis pour se détendre et se déconnecter. L’environnement est très nature, avec une vue sur la plage accessible à pied en quelques minutes. Par contre, attention : il est indispensable d’avoir une voiture pour y accéder. En tout cas, c’était une belle parenthèse, et je recommande sans hésiter !

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Pataias! The house is located in a peaceful area, close to markets and only a 15-minute drive from the beach, which was a huge plus for us. The host was very friendly and responsive to all our questions, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The house was clean when we arrived and had a lovely garden where we enjoyed relaxing in the sun. There was plenty of space for our dogs to run around, which made it a great spot for pet owners. The saltwater swimming pool was also a highlight, as it was well-lit by sunlight throughout the day—perfect for lounging and cooling off! One inconvenience during our week-long stay was the lack of a washing machine, which would have been helpful to keep towels and other items clean. However, for shorter stays, this likely wouldn't be much of an issue. Additionally, the garage was not accessible to guests, so we had to park on the street, which was a bit inconvenient but manageable.

hôtes très accueillant, chaleureux et bienveillant . la maison est comme sur les photos et plus encore. le coin pool housse est parfait pour se reposer et le calme des lieux respire la tranquillité. nous avons passé quelques jours et on serait bien resté plus longtemps. Merci beaucoup pour ces quelques jours et peut être sur Nîmes.

Thanks to Rose, check-in was a breeze! I can’t say enough about this amazing home. The pictures did not do it justice (bigger/better!): superb craftsmanship, natural light flooded throughout the main and 2nd floor, floor-to-ceiling/wall-to-wall glass sliding doors in the master bedroom overlooking North Beach and the lighthouse (can watch surfers from balconies), fabulous rain shower/water pressure in the lower level bathroom (we didn’t shower in the master bath, but loved the skylight), etc. We kept the sliding door open in the master bedroom all night to take advantage of the cool breeze and sound of the ocean (our favorite part!) - we had no need to turn on the A/C or use the shades. Additionally, we loved the proximity to the excellent restaurants and cafes (4 to 11-min walks), about 9 minutes to the tram, and less than a 15-min walk to the (Farol) lighthouse. Our 2 favorite walkable restaurants were Modern Tavern Ze d’Avo (8-min walk) and Waves Tacos and Tapas (3-min walk).

Claudia ist eine sehr nette, herzliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Sie hatte einige gute Tipps. Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen und das Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit Eukalyptusduft in der Nase-fantastisch. Das ganze Anwesen ist sehr harmonisch und natürlich mit viel Geschick gestaltet und der Pool natürlich eine besondere Abkühlung nach einem langen Ausflug am Abend.
