Rainbow House

MikeRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Excellent place and great host. The house is very nice, it’s in a great location, very walkable and close to all the sights, restaurants, bars, etc. but still calm and quiet. The view from the top terrace is amazing and the terrace below that is very relaxing with the hammock. Myrna is very friendly, responsive and helpful. Her and her boyfriend took me on a little tour of the city and gave a lot of great recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. I would definitely stay here again!

Casa Sirena: cute, relaxed and close to downtown

SharolRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We stayed at Casa Serena for almost 2 months. The house is charming and had everything we needed to feel at home and be self-reliant. The beds were so comfortable and the linens and towels were top-notch. Have a filtered water spout in the kitchen was a huge plus as it was great not to have to purchase and lug drinking water! The house is within easy downhill walking distance to the historic district with its lovely parks, museums, shops and restaurants. As is the case in many Guanajuato neighborhoods, the house sits on a hillside and so your walk back up from town is quite a workout! Still, that did not pose a problem for us. Alvaro was a perfect host. He was very responsive to any questions that came up and showed genuine concerns for our comfort and experience in his hometown. The welcome packet provided great recommendations for excursions and restaurants to try. Thank you too, Alvaro for the lovely sparkling wine you presented us with when we arrived. Thank you, Alvaro!

Beautiful Mexican-style house with a garage.

AlejandraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house is just as in the photos, Mexican, nice, quiet area, super close to the Alhóndiga on foot or by car, the parking lot seems like a super plus, in a place where there is so little space like Guanajuato, on the corner of the street there is a small garden, to take your pet, a super plus also that they admit our dog who is part of the family, it was clean and had what we needed at least for us to spend the scheduled days. The person who gave us the keys, friendly and concise. There was no interaction with the hosts; which did not cause any problems since the house has everything to make everything flow well. It feels like you live in a very typical place in Guanajuato. Linda experience for my family.

Mini-house with terrace and free parking

SharmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had a great stay! The location is excellent, and the house is spacious—perfect for relaxing or spending time with a group. The rooftop patio is absolutely amazing and definitely a highlight. The only thing I would have appreciated is if drinking water had been provided. Other than that, everything was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Casa Salto del Mono: The best view of the city.

GeorginaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Julia's place was amazing! The view was incredible and everything was so clean. She was so responsive and pleasant to communicate with! I would definitely stay here again! Just be aware that you do have to go up a lot of stairs to get there so it might be difficult depending on the luggage you bring. It is among the callejones so pay close attention to Julia's instructions. The place itself is 3 stories, with the bedrooms being on floor 2 and 3, so you have to go up and down stairs there as well.

Warm house! Terrace! Mountain view! with garage!

AnnieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Absolutely loved our stay! Claudia's home is perched on one of Guanajuato's many hill/mountaintops and has a gorgeous view. She was very communicative and even helped us figure out where to buy a molcajete. Just like the rest of Guanajuato, you'll have to climb a hill to get back to the house if you go exploring. However, Centro is just about 20 minutes way and there's a fully stocked grocery store at 12 minute walk in the other direction. Claudia's had plenty of space and was super clean. The two patios were great to hang out on and work from.

La Playita full house, climatized pool & roof top

Alex's Airbnb was a fantastic and spacious location, perfect for our group of 5 adults. The property was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. We rented all 3 apartments, which offered stunning views, especially at sunset. The beautiful orange tree by the pool added to the charm, and there was plenty of clean drinking water available. Coffee was provided, and the city views were incredible. The location was very convenient, and Alex was an outstanding host, providing clear communication and ensuring everything was well-organized.

Casa del Alba: A Magical & Private Downtown Oasis!

EvanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A beautiful home with incredible views of one of the world’s most beautiful cities. We loved our stay. The local host Fernando was incredibly helpful and kind, and immediately responsive. As communicated in the listing, there are many steep stairs in all directions from the home. This home would not be a good choice for anyone with mobility concerns. For anyone with willing and able to climb steps at high altitude, this is a lovely option so enjoy fantastic views.

The Guanajuato Experience (Alameda)

MatthewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you are looking for an authentic modern Mexican home in Guanajuato, it probably doesn’t get any better than this. The house was filled with beautiful modern Mexican furniture and décor as well as traditional vibrant colors and paintings at every turn that just made you feel a part of Mexico if only for a brief moment. Walking in and seeing La Virgen de Guadalupe guarding the stairwell entrance as well as other Catholic décor made me feel immediately welcome and like this was a safe, blessed home to be in. On top of all that goodness, everything from the downtown plaza to Monumento al Pípila and Mercado Hidalgo was only a 7-20 minute walk. Great exercise and no need to spend money on taxis or Uber with how well located this house is. Thank you for allowing me to stay in your home and making me feel so welcome.

GO2GTO Casa Paz

LeonardoRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Staying at this beautiful property in Guanajuato was truly a magical experience. It feels like an authentic Mexican home — the kind that transports you straight to your grandmother’s house. Cozy, charming, and full of romantic touches that reflect the soul of Mexico. From the moment you arrive, you feel at home. The terrace is absolutely stunning in my opinion, the best view in all of Guanajuato. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a fresh coffee, watch the sunset, or simply soak in the city’s beauty. Getting to the property can be a bit of a climb if you’re not careful. If you want to go to the city center, I recommend going down through Hotel Luz de Mar. However, do not use that path to climb up to the property it is very tiring. The best way to access the house is by coming down through Hotel Paseo de la Presa, which is much more comfortable and easy on the legs. There is a very good Mexican bakery right in front of the property I highly recommend it.

Walking distance to the street 15 minutes from downtown on foot.

OsaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
One of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever had. The apartment is spacious, full of natural light, and even better than the photos. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe—especially with the hosts and their dogs upstairs most of the time. While I was completely independent, I never felt lonely, which was a really nice balance. The Wi-Fi was fast and completely reliable—I worked remotely for a month with daily video calls and had zero issues. The dedicated workspace was roomy, with a very comfortable office chair. The bed was yummy comfy, and having laundry just steps away was a major plus. Laura and Daniel were truly exceptional hosts—warm, helpful, and incredibly thoughtful throughout my stay. I can’t say enough about them. This place made me reconsider my plans and seriously think about coming back to Guanajuato.
