The house is fantastic, with plenty of space inside, as well as outside. Spectacular pool, my daughters loved it. Orchard with a variety of fruit trees, from which we can harvest and enjoy. Carolina was a great host. We received a very warm welcome and we were very happy with the house and the amenities.

Though remote, the instructions José provided made the place very easy to find. There are ample outside areas for dining and relaxing (although we were there at a time of year too chilly to take advantage of this). The view in the morning is great, as you can drink a coffee and look down on clouds rolling down the river valley below you. The House is quite small, but accommodated us and our two children easily. 4 adults might find it a tight fit. There are neighbors, but they are quite friendly (one lady, it being Easter, gave my children a bag of Easter almonds). The quality of renovation work on the house is superb, and preserves the old "stone house" character typical in this region, while maximizing comfort within. The AC heats up the place quickly and thoroughly. Parking is no problem at all, with plenty of space to turn the car around once you have pulled in. Restaurants, Supermarkets, and all the amenities are located about 15 minutes away in Cinfães.

An absolute dream of a stay at our favorite Airbnb to date. There were so many things to love: the views were out of this world everywhere you looked, a delicious and stunning breakfast, a private outside bathtub, beautiful design details inside and outside of the house, and friendly hosts. We will be thinking about this stay for years to come and hope to return one day. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time at Maria’s house. It was beautiful and we loved the view. The patio and pool in the back were great and we loved the lemon tree and the herb garden. Maria dropped off extra coffee and arranged a cab for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for a wonderful stay with a great view of the surrounding area. A quiet place in nature. From here, you can get to Porto and a trip by train along the Douro River. We'd love to come back. :)

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Miguel was fantastic with communication from start to finish, always prompt and helpful with any questions we had. The accommodation itself was beyond our expectations – it truly felt like a home away from home, with everything we could possibly need. The amenities were perfect for a family getaway. Our children had endless fun with access to the spacious garden, beautiful pool, the serene lake, and even paddleboards – we couldn’t have asked for more to keep them entertained! The location was ideal as well. It’s tucked away in a peaceful, quiet area that made it easy to relax and unwind. We left feeling recharged and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect escape!

Mario and Dona Hermina were both very sweet and helpful hosts. The property is a beautiful spot to go with friends and family to enjoy time away from the city. The pool is where you will spend the most of your time. We had a great time there and highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our time in this beautiful house. It has all comforts you may wish for a big family like us (6 adults and 7 children). The property is simply breathless and perfect for kids. The swimming pool, the spa, the pool, tennis court and gym… it seems you are in a 5 star hotel but feeling like home. Rooms are big and finely furnished. The living spaces are elegant and the huge dining table is a plus. The place looks being in the middle of nowhere but it is strategic for day-trips in amazing locations (Porto, Douro wine yards, etc). The house was very clean and Sofia is a very nice and available host. We had so great time there that going out for trips was a challenge every day!

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful Airbnb — truly one of our favorite vacations, even with a week of rain and rarely leaving the property! The view is absolutely breathtaking, and our host Francisco was warm, helpful, and never intrusive. He gave great local tips, including a scenic train and river boat ride that let us explore the valley without too much driving. The roads are very narrow and winding, so we mostly stayed put — but the house had everything we needed for a relaxing week. We loved playing ping pong, swimming, making fresh orange juice, and cozying up by the fire. Francisco ensured we had plenty of firewood and brought us tons of fresh oranges and lemons, along with homemade marmalade and a traditional Easter cake. The Easter fireworks were a magical surprise. This place is peaceful, welcoming, and full of charm — a little slice of heaven. Don’t hesitate to book!

We had a pleasant stay. This accommodation had all the necessary amenities for our comfort. We had a lot of supermarkets nearby (1 minute walk). Libania was always available to answer our questions before we checked in. Small +: The space was extremely clean! Thank you so much.

We had an amazing week at Maria's place. The house is in a rolling beautiful landscape with a wonderful mountain and valley view. The house was perfect with all one could need and we slept well, it was quiet and quiet with some sound of roosters and dogs. The garden was wonderful, we hung out on sun deck, bathed in the pool and cooked great food and enjoyed lemons from the lemon tree. We were given tips from Maria's brother Pedro on excursions and good restaurants. Both Maria and Pedro are super nice, responded quickly and are helpful with everything. We would gladly come back 🌸

We were a family of 10( 7 adults and 3 kids) and we enjoyed very much our stay at this place. The house is very spacious and has all the needed facilities. There is also a lot of entertainment (ping pong table, snooker, swimming pool etc, tennis/football court...). The location is also great to take a city break, surrounded by nature. There are river beaches, water sports and trails and walks. My only bad comment goes to the exterior maintanance that could have been better ( swimming pool water was a bit dirty and the grass wasnt cut).

The cottage is way nicer in real life than it looks in the pictures. It is spacious, well equipped and the location is absolutely stunning. Marilia was highly communicative throughout, gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival, and even left fresh veg and a lovely welcome pack. I recommend asking them to send the location to you directly before you travel as the one on Airbnb doesn't work.

Myself and my partner booked four nights at Cesar and Paula's beautiful vacation rental and loved it. Everything was perfect and our hosts were a joy to meet. They are the most lovely, friendly and helpful hosts you could hope to encounter. Apart from helpful suggestions, Cesar went out of his way to assist us with tasks we were planning. They both personally showed us around the property and even gifted us a bottle of his rose wine. We stayed in Casa 1 (but also saw the other rental options) and can say that the attention to detail, the interior design, which works really well with the restored stone buildings, is outstanding. Another fantastic feature is the gorgeous pool overlooking views of the Douro. We know we'll be back here soon!

The listing was as pictured and described It's absolutely stunning The setting is exceptional with this incredible view of the Douro. The house is very well maintained. Very well equipped. A lot of character with its large windows. A stunning garden and pool. Amazing calm too If you have to visit the most touristic places such as Porto you are on average 1 hour from everything. But it's clearly stated in the listing that we are far away so it was no problem for us. We were able to take advantage of every day to explore the surrounding area. Our host welcomed us at the indicated time. There is a lot of flexibility for check-in and check-out times. Thank you so much to our hosts who took time to welcome us and respond to our needs and questions. To summarize, we hope to be able to return to this beautiful area and this beautiful house one day. We spent 15 days in the house and were delighted. The hosts are very helpful and kind and were great. The house is very comfortable and is very well equipped, it does not lack anything( well, a slightly more modern TV) the area is beautiful and there is a lot to visit. Above they admit dogs and the mias have enjoyed on the estate as locas. The photos do not honor the house. Thank you for everything Very , highly recommended.

Lovely house well furbished with all your needs. Relaxing neighborhood bit tricky to get to but once your there is beautiful views and worth the drive.

It's been two weeks since we left this beautiful home in the Douro Valley and we are all still dreaming about it. It was the perfect environment for our family to come together and relax and soak in the beautiful scenery. The house itself is gorgeous with views of the river from every room. The house was complete with everything necessary and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals together. The hostess was exceptionally warm and friendly and answered our questions in a reasonable time. If you want to relax, unwind and recharge this is definitely the place. We are all looking forward to returning one day!
