We loved our stay at Kimakia tea cottage. The place has a bit of a quaint or rustic feel to it, and the "back in" feel is amazing. It's a little chilly so we made good use of the fireplace inside the house. Naomi kept us supplied with firewood. We loved the ambience of the place. Great place for relaxation in nature, listening to the river and the birds right from the porch. Did I mention the tea fields are beautiful? The reviews about the road being steep and muddy are true. We were able to get in and out despite heavy rains during our stay. But it was not easy even with a Land Cruiser Prado, so be prepared.

Firefly Log Cabin- nature retreat near Nbi

we had an incredible stay at Firefly! From the scenic and sprawling coffee plantation to the avocado trees and the lake, it was a treat for the eyes. Our host was communicative throughout the process. Brian and team were also truly helpful and had much knowledge on the coffee harvests. The team were also available for a turn-down service and no request was too big to accommodate. We are grateful to Snehal and team who also left in our care coffee packages and our own take home coffee which we were able to roast :) All in all, an awesome weekend getaway.

The place very homely for my family and we enjoyed our stay. It was close to the road but I got a bit lost during our checkin because it was at night and so it wasn’t easy to see the purple gate since the surrounding neighborhood did not have much street lighting.

I loved the experience. i wasn't used to the speed limit rules and restrictions at the gate, though I know it is to ensure security of everyone...and I appreciated it once I got the hang of it. I would definitely recommend this for anyone that wants a peaceful quiet and safe place as a home for a while.

I felt very comfortable in Yviona's apartment. The apartment is exactly like the pictures and the bed is comfortable. Everyone in the house was super friendly and helpful and Yviona was always available if I had any questions. A top hostess who I can only recommend. Thank you very much Yviona, I will gladly come back as soon as I am in Kahawa.

Lovely place, just as shown in the pics. We greatly enjoyed and can't wait to be back. Highly recommended.
