The area under 'The Lyngen Alps' (Lyngsalpene) are popular both for winter and summer vacations. In the dark months in mid Winter you can view the 'Northern Lights' (Aurora Borealis). When the darkest Winter is changing in to longer days the skiers appears in the spectacular mountains surrounding the house. 
If you want to go skiing, you go outside, put on your skies and of you go. There is a restaurant/bar that have a seasonal opening hours. The local grocery store is 5 km away. In Winter the local husky farm can give you a sledgeride into the picturesque surroundings, or you can go horseback riding in the Summer. During the Summer you can try the good fishing opportunities in the area. Fishing in lakes, river, creeks and the fjord is very popular. You can even do this all day and night, due to the midnightsun. The international airport in Tromsø is just 70km away. The train station in Narvik is just above 2 hours drive away. There are local buses daily, except Saturdays. Finland is 1hr 45 min drive away, and Sweden is 3 hours drive away. This is a place to relax an spend time in nature. Perfect to just sit outside watching the Northern lights crossing the sky. The owners of the house live nearby, they speak English and some German. They will try to answer all of your questions as best they know how.

Cabin in scenic surroundings

The cabin is located in Signaldalen about 110 kilometers from Tromsø city. Located by the Signaldalen river, which is surrounded by high mountains and mighty nature. There is a short distance to the high mountains for skiing/peak tours/hiking/hunting and northern lights experiences. There is also a snowmobile trail in winter. The cabin has electricity, running water and a sauna. Bed linen and towels are included. There is a well-equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, toaster and kettle. The nearest store (Hatteng) as well as a barbecue bar is 6 km from the cabin.

MF is a year-round destination with the possibility of good trips all year round. Good fishing opportunities in the summer, hiking in beautiful autumn weather, ski-in ski-out to beautiful south-facing alpine slopes and fine cross-country trails on the mountain. There is plenty of room for 8 people, with smaller children up to 11 beds, 4 bedrooms, loft, 2 toilets, sauna. Cozy living room with wood-burning stove, fully equipped kitchen.

Lyngenfjord Cabin Northern Lights, 90min to Tromsø

Perfect for watching Northern Lights: Dry climate makes little clouds, together with very low light pollution. An older nostalgic house. Three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room, total 90 m2. It’s 10 beds, but the bathroom capacity indicates that it’s max 8 guests. Quiet and calm area with amazing natural scenery in relaxing atmosphere. Activities: hiking, skiing, biking, kayaking, fishing in the sea/river, midnight sun. Skibotn is a small village: 560 inhabitants.

Solvang yard

The rental house stands on a nice courtyard with houses from the 18th and 19th centuries. It holds 3 bedrooms for 5 people, but we can make beds for 3 people extra. It costs NOK 100, - per person. Two bathrooms and a laundry room. The house is fully equipped. Washing machine in the laundry/ski storage room. There is a large living room with sofa, recliners, cable TV and WiFi. There are two wood stoves in the house which provide both good warmth and cozy atmosphere.
