Quinta Kakelbont is one of the most relaxed places I’ve ever been to. The place is located on a huge place of land with 4 really relaxed dogs, 2 super cute pigs and so many fruit trees, where you can pick fresh oranges. It’s super calm and beautiful. The house is very cozy, the bed is comfy and there’s a kitchen with all the appliances. Sjoukje and Carlos are great hosts, we can definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a relaxed stay.

A wonderful place in the heart of nature as well as a welcome from the warmest hosts (with a visit to their garden, eggs for breakfast). We spent 4 wonderful days with our 2 year old daughter.

Everything is great, Ana and Antonio are very friendly, always ready for everything, and although they live in the house next door, they respect the privacy of the guests very much. The house is wonderful, it doesn't lack a single detail, the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils, in addition, they have the thoughtfulness to provide oil, vinegar, salt, sugar, coffee, tea, which is appreciated. In the bathroom there are many towels, and many toiletries available to guests, and everything is very clean. The garden area, pool, and barbecue are beautiful. We hope to return to enjoy it, since we went in February, and it's not swimming season. A house that is 100% recommended if you want to spend a few days of peace and quiet in a rural setting with a lot of charm. We'll be back!! Thanks for everything to Ana and Antonio, they treated us like a luxury.

I booked this Airbnb for my best friend’s 23rd birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The location was amazing, the beds were super comfortable, and we felt totally safe the entire time. Everything was spotless and beautifully kept. I let Christina know it was my friend’s birthday, and she went above and beyond—she surprised us with a cake and candles, which made the celebration even more special. Just a heads-up for future guests: there’s an additional fee for extra guests, even if there are multiple beds—so make sure to double-check the listing details. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone, and I’d love to stay here again!

Very nice place to get some privacy, with a nice garden.

We had an unforgettable stay at the Seastar house! It's a real little paradise with its private access to the sea (you fall asleep to the sound of the waves), its dreamy sunset and its ideal location. The absolutely lovely host came to pick us up on the road to guide us, gave us good advice for visiting the premises and answered any questions we had. Delicious homemade cakes and succulent candied figs awaited us upon arrival. The house is small but very well arranged; the kitchen is well-equipped, beach slippers and towels are available, there are several spots around the house to eat, rest, barbecue or bask in a hammock. Parking is available which is very convenient. You can walk to a nearby tavern. But once there, you're in paradise between the sea and the flowers; you don't want to leave at all. My stay in El Kubo was wonderful! a nice tiny house, with lots of privacy and well enclosed, so that I only felt completely comfortable here! The outdoor space is lovely, especially in this time of year, with plenty of choice for sun and shade! El Kubo is small but nice, everything you need is present. The communication with Nani was easy and cozy, she speaks very good English that makes communicating easy! I'd love to come back! I also found the tips that Nani gave about beaches and restaurants nearby very pleasant, and took me to beautiful places that I would not have otherwise found!

Had an absolutely wonderful, restful stay at Christoph and Emanuela’s little cottage, the space is perfectly furnished, warm and comfortable (even in the colder weather that I had over the weekend). The location is perfect between village and countryside, just a short walk up from their place is some of the most beautiful Alentejo countryside I’ve been to and had a couple of really long walks without seeing another soul. Christoph and Emanuela were incredibly welcoming and helpful, but I also felt completely secluded and private in the cottage. A perfect stay and place!

Had a very nice stay. The apartment is very cute and nicely decorated. From there you can quickly reach a very nice viewpoint by the sea on foot and with the private parking lot it was also easy to reach by car.

Wow! First of all, what can I say about Ellen's kindness. She welcomed us warmly and showed us around the place. She took the time to suggest activities as well as restaurants nearby. She even texted us a lot of useful information. She also had snacks and cold drinks. We quickly felt comfortable. The place is like the pictures. It's extremely well decorated and peaceful. The place is beautiful and is perfect for relaxing with the sounds of nature all around. We also really enjoyed that there were beach accessories available to us. It was very convenient. In short, we loved our short stay and will definitely come back if we return to the area. We would highly recommend this place for a quiet vacation!

We highly recommend staying here during your Madeira visit if you enjoy nature! The hut has all you could wish for and you can enjoy all the peace and quiet from the green scenery. From here it is a 20 min drive to Funchal and 15 min drive to Pico do Arieiro! Also, a few great hiking routes start just nearby the huts. Don’t forget to stop by the donkeys, they are very friendly!

The place is a beautiful gem. Luckily, we booked very early, otherwise it would have been gone. We can only recommend it to everyone. Lupe also provided us with many tips from the surrounding area and always made us feel welcome.

There were 3 of us and we really liked the accommodation. It had a barbecue, picnic area, and its own pool. The only thing we didn't like was the shower, the water didn't come out with pressure, otherwise everything was great.

What a paradise this cottage on top of the mountain. Breakfast at the point overlooking the mountains and sea. You will relax completely. The cottage and terrace are super photogenic. We (2 friends) both had our own bed. One had one separate bedroom the other bedroom is a kind of between room that could also be closed off with curtains as a bedroom. Everything is present in the cottage, which saves a lot of groceries (kitchen herbs toilet paper, etc.). Everything is super comfortable and Gema and Helga always respond very quickly if you have questions. In short, this place is highly recommended. We hope to come back again❤️. We had a very nice stay at the Tiny Villa :) It was all very clean and well maintained, the communication was very pleasant and easy, when we had questions we didn't have to wait long for an answer. In addition, cats came by very often who were very loving and would certainly be happy if you fed them from time to time :)

We had a wonderful stay at in La Florida and would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday away. The house and gardens were exactly as shown in the photos and a wonderful place to relax. We really enjoyed the wood burning hot tub, we purchased additional wood from the Repsol garage. The drive to the house was steep but very manageable for a confident driver. Initially we were given keys to only one of the apartments however as this had two single beds we requested the keys to the second place as this had a double bed and Susana was very accommodating in providing these.

Fabulous stay in a fabulous location ran by a fabulous guy 😁. Erik has created a little oasis away from the busy, noisy, very popular South of the island. It is remote, as described, perfect place to get away from it all. Erik is genuine and kind, willing to help in away he can, picked me up from the airport with a pit stop at the shop. Highly recommend 👌

Nice stay in a very quiet location. Hetty and Patrick are very kind and helpful. The highlight is the sauna and the associated view.
