If you want to do something - we have a sauna and hot tub, you could go swimming, mushroom picking in the forest behind the house, walking to the local park where you can play volleyball, or take your children to the playground. Cool place to stay in Latvia countryside. Very nice view all way around. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay for the weekend - perfect. It's an old house with an old house vibe, but all amenities are new and there is everything necessary for an extended stay.

Boutique Country house - Kalna Alitēni

It was marvelous weekend in this place. Beautiful and picturesque surround. Calm and quiet. There are another house for rent nearby so maybe in bad if neighbors will be loud you can feel lack of privacy but not in our case. Very well equipped you can find what ever you may need in village house: well made grill with seat spot around, traditional wood sauna + natural pool nearby. Super village wibe. Host was super friendly, responsive and proactive. We had no any issue with accommodation and house usage. The only small downsides: house placed in real wilderness, so not the best gravel road as the only way to reach the house. Another side effect of that: no any shops 10+km around so consider to bring all food and drinks with yourself including fresh water. Would be glad to return again.

we didn't expect such a charming, very comfortable, very well equipped and very quiet apartment in Madona. We enjoyed the beautiful renovation and harmonious atmosphere. Definitely a place to discover while in the region ! we will come back.
