Family-friendly vacation rentals in Madison County

The best BnB we have ever stayed in. Everything was extremely lovingly furnished and the entire house was really impressive. We had a wonderful time and contact with the landlords was always easy. The pictures in the ad do not reflect the true beauty of the property. Simply outstanding. We'd love to come back.

This was an amazing experience. I started communicating with John 13 months before my sons wedding to stay there plus host a large rehearsal dinner. ( it grew to 80 people!). John allowed - welcomed me- to come see the property to check out the layout for what I needed giving my caterer information and planning for our stay. I needed to move furniture and a few other things and when I asked John if it was ok, his reply was, “it’s your house”, and I truly felt that way. It was comfortable and allowed for my family to stay and as we had a few revolving guests, John provided extra linens. The rehearsal dinner was on a hot August night and I had told folks to bring a bathing suit. Several of the bridal party and friends jumped in! The animals were fun and when a few of the kitties jumped in the car when we were leaving we were tempted to steal them! Our caterer for that dinner and a farewell brunch lived the set up of this place as well. I honestly cannot recommend it enough! Thanks John!

We enjoyed the relaxing location, the cabin with historical items from UGA and a career photographer. The suite downstairs is private and the king bed is so comfortable. The main floor has a nice bedroom as well. The bridal party got ready in it. The loft was a favorite for the view.

We loved the house. It had everything we wanted, but they hot tub was the icing on the cake!

We had a great stay. It’s in a quiet neighborhood that’s close to everything. Although it’s in a residential neighborhood, you feel like you are in a rural setting. We saw deer most evenings! The hosts were very responsive to every communication and we appreciated the flexible cancellation policies.

A fantastic place to sneak away for the week, it felt very comfortable, cozy, and had a relaxed feel to the house. Lake was beautiful and the property was kept up very well. Stephanie was a fantastic and very response host, will definitely take advantage of the property and hospitality again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

This place was perfect for my husband’s birthday!, we loved that we could bring the dogs and having a fenced in yard was great! The dock and lake access was amazing! We were very comfortable and would love to come back!

We had a great stay. Perfect location off the beaten path but still close to all that Athens had to offer. Perfect little get away for our family of four and the pup to catch a game at Sanford Stadium.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at this lakeside gem. There is space for everyone to spread out and gather together. Our family cooks/bakes and the kitchen is well-equipped. The host was super helpful and responded quickly to questions our group posed. This is the first time a host has ever read my profile, noticed my sensitivity to scents, and mentioned it in communications. Lovely!

Awesome place in Athens! Really close to the University. Stay here! It’s sooo easy!

I wish I could have stayed longer. Her place was perfectly close to everything I needed. I felt at home and secluded. The host was very responsive and helpful for any questions I had. I would recommend this stay!

Great place to share with a small group, close to downtown.

This is a great location! Walkable to downtown and stadium. Apartment was clean and Neil had some basic amenities in case you forgot something. Neil is quick to respond to messages I would stay here again on another visit.

It really was a nice place to stay for 2.5 days. I was here with my daughter as she was chosen to be part of the GMEA All-State full orchestra. Definitely would recommend Wendy’s unit if you need to stay in Athens for a day or two. Very responsive and engaged host, she’ll make sure you are set for whatever you need.

Kay was a great host. Place was clean, comfortable, roomy, and well appointed. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping. We came in for a Georgia football game and found the location to be convenient to Athens. Look forward to future stays. Highly recommend!

We came up for our daughter’s graduation and felt right at home. Very spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Easy to get to all of our events for the weekend.

Only minutes away from Athens via scenic country roads. Easy access. Presumably the pool house of the host but felt private and actually never saw anyone else. Was a fall visit so didn’t use the pool though pool area looked fun.
