Monthly Rentals in Macon County

Callie is definitely a super host! We been here twice and no complaints or issues whatsoever. One of our boats got completely swamped overnight during a bad storm, and Callie was super nice to let us have a late check out while we dealt with the boat. I’d give her 6 stars if I could.

Matthew was a wonderful host! He provided a photo of a map to help us easily find the house and was quick to communicate throughout our stay. He gave us a heads-up about the presence of some wasps and bees, but they didn’t bother us at all. The property features several winding trails that were perfect for exploring with our dogs. While we had hoped for better weather, the covered porch allowed us to enjoy being outside and take in the peaceful surroundings. A Walmart just 20 minutes away made it convenient to grab supplies when we needed them. Some minor details were overlooked; some dishes weren’t clean, and the hand soap dispensers were nearly empty, but overall, we had a great time. The only thing we wish had been different was the timing of check-in and check-out. With check-in at 4pm and check-out at 10am, our three-day stay amounted to just 42 hours on the property. That said, we didn’t ask for an early check-in or late check-out, so Matthew might have been flexible if asked.

The house worked great for our group of 7. There was plenty of room for us to sit and visit. We did not do any cooking while we were there but the kitchen seemed to have basic cooking supplies. There was plenty of sleeping options for everyone. The location was within walking distance to The Apple Basket Cafe which was a great place for breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.
