Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Mackenzie District

Super cozy and comfortable, we loved staying here during our trip. It was really spacious and well decorated, pretty much exactly like the photos. It's not too far of a drive to Lake Tekapo and the pies in town were amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay. The outdoor fire pit was wonderful, the place was very well stocked, and very peaceful.

The stay was amazing - Graham and Vicki are so incredibly helpful and welcoming. Being able to switch off and just enjoy the area was perfect. We loved the hot tub and the bed is SO comfortable! All amenities are beautifully maintained and we appreciated the extra effort they went to! Thank you, Graham and Vicki! We will certainly be back!

Lovely accomodation! Super clean and the well stocked kitchen was great for our family meals. The place is huge for our family of 5 and the fireplace was lovely for us to spend our evenings together in the living room. Great location to explore around mount cook and lake Tekapo

Willow retreat was just an amazing place to stay after a long day of driving. They offer a warm welcome with a beautiful breakfast basket and the home already heated for the guests. The outdoor bathtub is perfect for stargazing ( we got unlucky with cloudy weather). Would definitely recommend if you need a place to stay near Lake Tekapo.

A very roomy and clean bnb in Lake Telapo that would be great for larger groups. The location is also convinent and the host is responsive and friendly.

What an awesome spot just beautiful and a good base for traveling around the Mackenzie basin. Great amenities and well set up for families.

We had a great night's stay. very clean & comfortable studio unit. The property is rural but easy to find on GPS and not far from SH1. Gerard & Trish have created a wonderful garden, including native bush, which Gerard showed us around. Nice continental breakfast was also provided, with some of their own produce. Even a couple of Easter eggs as we were there Easter Sunday. Highly recommend.

It’s a pleasant countryside retreat in the Canterbury area. Surrounded by fields and away from the main road, the complete silence was a welcome relief. But only 5 mins away from the quaint town of Geraldine town for accessibility. Bedrooms were roomy and beds very comfortable; kitchen wares very clean too. The hosts Mike and Kathleen were very proactive in giving helpful instructions, we did not have any trouble in finding the place. They were kind also to leave a space heater on since we were reaching late evening. Their welcome book had a ton of info on local recommendations for food, exploration and even some planned itineraries if anyone is interested; lots of stuff to do in all directions, and TV & board games for a relaxing day in. Overall great place, highly recommend to anyone considering central southland stay.
