Family-friendly vacation rentals in Luzerne County

Excellent great place has plenty of room 2 of the bedroom has private bathroom and the basement with the bar and the pool to play was great. Has a fire pit outside.

This beautiful mountain home is our go to ski vacation spot ! It has all everything our large family needs. Very very short drive to Big Boulder. Plenty of beds, nicely outfitted kitchen and check in was a breeze. There are plenty are plenty of games in the first floor game room and a nice card table. We parked 5 cars there because we came from many locations to get together and ski. I’m very happy with this vacation home.

Spent a family vacation at Barry's home to take our kids skiing. It was very close to Big Boulder--couldn't be more convenient! It had snowed the day before we left and the plows came the night before so the roads were easily navigable and Barry and Skylar made sure we had a late checkout option just in case it was treacherous anyways. We would stay here again!

The house was great. Fully stocked kitchen. Everything in great condition. Grill, hot tub all worked well. Kids had fun and adults too. Closest lake is Hickory Park, which is a close drive. We enjoyed our stay!

Joe was extremely responsive. Whenever we had a question he responded immediately.

Julia's place was just what we needed for our weekend with friends. its worth noting that it is in a HOA, which the airbnb geolocation pin makes you think that it isn't. As such, you need to register your car with Julia (which was simple) and the garbage needs to be taken down the street to the community garbage area at the end of your stay. The community has strict speed limits, quiet hours and community amenities (lake and playground etc) that have strict rules and require you wear badges (provided in the house). thank you for a nice weekend!

This was our second stay at Layne's home. It is very close to Big Boulder/Jack Frost and was the perfect ski getaway for us! Thank you Layne!

Had a wonderful 2-night stay this past weekend. The location is set back in the woods with a stream backed up against the rear of the property. The cabin was well appointed and very cozy. It was so peaceful and the sound of the stream just added to a sense of serenity. Very comfortable beds and we loved the aesthetic of everything, both inside and outside. I can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed camping at Jaqueline’s home space. They were very accommodating when we requested a different spot! It wasn’t as private as the pictures lead but that means the “amenities” are close. A fridge to put cold stuff in, outlets to charge your phone and porta pots. They check in on you often (maybe too much 😊) and their house is in the same place your camping area is so they are always close by. I didn’t love all the metal and wooden furniture pieces all over the property but we still enjoyed nature, the creek walk, having a campfire and falling asleep to the rain! NOTE: wood is $13/11 small pieces of wood

Comfy home, easy to find, everything worked great. Neighborhood kids were darling. May have to move to PA now! The weather was nice and crisp just the way I like it.

Had a great time camping at Jacqueline’s place!! Very relaxed atmosphere. Chris and Jackie are super friendly and make sure you’re comfortable, and have everything you may need. Nice open area. Campsites are spread out reasonably. Clean bathrooms(Porto)

We loved staying at Beth’s for the weekend. The location was walking distance to the water with a great outdoor space. We were quite busy so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake as much as we should have but the beach looked fun and the kayaks at the house would’ve been fun to take out as well!

Jackie and Chris were awesome! Their property is beautiful, they really know what they’re doing as far as hosting. They have the perfect set up. We stayed for one night, I booked it the day before. I accidentally booked the wrong day, and immediately Jackie reached out and helped me fix it. They are communicative, gracious, just all around really good people!! Thank you both!

For the most part, my stay at the cabin was really nice. It was one of the cleaner listing I've stayed at and was near a lot of hidden gems within the area. We did have some mild confusion finding the cabin as the road is somewhat hidden but the check in instructions were quite helpful. The only other remotely negative I had was that the cabin didnt match the provided photos at all. In fact the entire staircase to the loft was completely missing which we didnt know about until we walked in. It also appears there were some interior updates which look very good but I would have liked to see updated photos before making my booking.

Very hospitable and incredibly nice. We will definitely be going back to stay in the future.

Perfect getaway! spent the better part of week at this place and it had just the right balance between secluded privacy and plenty of local things to do, which the host had summarized making activities easy. Lovely local hiking and the host was engaged early to make sure our trip was just right.

The place was exactly like the photos and very clean! We had to reschedule our trip because our baby was in the hospital and Laszlo was very accommodating. He didn’t have to do that but it was so kind. I would absolutely recommend this house.

We recently returned to the Mountain Top Estate for a mini-vacation. Only a few days, but thanks to our hosts, and the beautiful house and grounds it really seemed like a full-fledged vacation! Swimming in the gorgeous pool was a highlight as well as quiet evenings taking in the scenery, and enjoying the game room. Getting to see wildlife passing through was an extra bonus. :)  Highly recommend !

We had the most wonderful time at Andrews charming family cabin on the lake! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and at home. The cabin is cozy, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need for a peaceful getaway. The views of the lake are absolutely stunning—morning coffee on the deck quickly became our favorite ritual. Whether we were kayaking, enjoying s'mores by the fire pit, or simply reading by the water, every moment felt special. It’s clear that this cabin is lovingly cared for, and it made our stay all the more memorable. We’re already dreaming about our next visit! Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, reconnect, and soak up nature.
