Our three one-room apartments — Ahorn, Linde, and Birke — combine the historic charm of Herbsthausen with contemporary design. Each apartment is completely unique and has been modernized by us. They offer space for two to three people each. The apartments are part of “Herbsthausen”, an cultural project in the town of Gartow. We are renovating a historic sawmill and transforming it into a future-oriented place for art, industrial heritage, living, working, international exchange, and relaxation.

In winter, it is heated with wood and briquettes and it quickly becomes cozy and warm. Running cold water is only available in the trailer during the frost-free period! Unfortunately, our farm is not suitable for excessive parties. Our house was built around 1850. The residential house and barn of the listed 3-sided farmstead are built with oak timber framing. There are 10 wedding linden trees around the house. In November, when the linden trees are pruned back, the house can be seen in all its glory. From May, it then slowly disappears behind shady foliage and stays wonderfully cool throughout the summer...

My place is close to Schwerin, right on a swimming lake. The apartments are located in a listed half-timbered house with old trees and a 15,000 m² garden and courtyard. Both apartments have a separate entrance. The location is ideal as a starting point for excursions but cannot be reached by public transportation. There is no Wi-Fi! But a very good D2 mobile network. Maximum for 2 persons! Do not bring animals
