Tommy Bit is our shepherd's hut for 2 in Borrowdale, the heart of the Lake District. Enjoy fantastic views, cook up a meal on the campfire or curl up on the sofa in front of the wood burning stove. Fabulous walks from the hut to the lake and fells.
“We had a great time staying in Tommy Bit. It was very easy to find and the accommodation itself was perfect for a cosy getaway at the Lakes. Located right near Derwentwater, it was an ideal base for some great hikes. Highly recommend the hike to the top of Catbells which basically starts at your doorstep and swings back down the side of the lake. Also a great location to travel by car to other lakes and hikes around the region. We were provided by all essential amenities and our firewood was restocked everyday ready for cooking breakfast and dinners over the fire pit. There was a toaster, microwave and kettle inside the hut though for when a quick breakfast was needed. The bed was extremely comfy and provided with a very warm duvet, all of which conveniently folded away during the day. The new bathroom that was installed next to the hut is a great addition to what would’ve been a very comfy stay anyway and was very clean on arrival. Alan, Cheryl and Alice were great hosts and Tommy bit was a great getaway from city life. They took extra care to follow government guidance and introduced some of their own measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay. We hope to back back soon! Chris and Emma”

Basic Vegan breakfast (coffee, juice, toast, cereal) included.
“Our stay at Mike and Rosie's place was nothing short of perfection. They are both fantastic hosts and made our stay in Keswick very memorable. We loved it here so much we've already booked to come back in September! The Rest Wing is a tranquil home away from home; cosy, spacious and spotlessly clean. It had all the amenities we could ask for: comfortable bed and bedding, blackout curtains, plenty of storage space, a large walk-in power shower, flat screen TV with access to Sky Cinema, ceiling fan (which was very quiet, we didn't even notice it when turned on!), an in-room kettle and a selection of complimentary teas/coffee and access to a fridge (stocked with our favourite Oatly Batista). The room looks out on to Mike and Rosie's beautifully kept garden. We were free to use the outdoor seating area and garden swing, which has incredible views over the fells). Best of all, there was a snack bar in the communal hallway, stocked with a range of sweet and savoury vegan snacks and soft drinks (highly reccomend the Vego chocolate bar!!). Breakfast was superb. You place your order the night before and it's ready for you when you wake up. There's a choice of fresh fruit, cereal/granola, toast, lots of preserves (try Mike's homemade three jam marmalade and ginger preserve). What made our stay so incredible was Mike and Rosie's hospitality. They are incredibly friendly and warm and made us feel so welcome. We also loved spending time with their dogs Lara and Louis who were super lively and playful! Can't wait to come back here in a few months time. I can't reccomend this place enough - best air bnb we've stayed in!”

“This is the second time we have stayed here, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. A lovely, clean, warm and cosy cottage, perfect for a family of four. Amazing views all around and in walking distance to Keswick. Very responsive hosts and the cottage really has everything you need. We would love to visit again!”
