It is not often you find somewhere magical to de-stress after what has been an eventful start to the year. ‘The Boatshed’ is a Loft Apartment located in the scenic coastal strip of Eastbourne looking out over Lowry Bay into the majestic Wellington Harbour. The apartment itself has everything you need. Tastefully furnished and subtle elegance made it quite difficult to ever want to leave. Let alone a hop skip and jump to the water’s edge. Perfect for a couple or single traveler. Polin and Tim are perfect hosts offering true Kiwi hospitality and humour. Very knowledgeable; caring, thoughtful; understanding; generous and mindful of personal space and privacy. I think my wife and I have made new friends for life Thanks for the laughs. Jo and Christian’s cottage is very cute and so comfortable and peaceful. The extra little touches of providing continental breakfast and shampoo/conditioner were much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well lit and cosy. Definitely will go back and stay again 😊

The accommodation is in a lovely neighbourhood of elegant old houses at the foot of Mount Victori and only a five minute walk from Courtenay Place. Although the room is small , it meets the needs of a short-stay guest. Maureen, the host is friendly and approachable and I appreciated the bowl of fruit she left for me. Yoshi, the mischievous puppy provided much amusement and affection. Highly recommended.
