“David's place and hospitality were nothing short of spectacular. We took a group of 18 college-aged sports teammates from the US up to Kawartha Lakes for an annual trip--and were delighted by the spot we had chosen. The property was beautiful, with each one of our players enjoying the frozen-over lake for hockey, soccer, and simply walking about. The yard space was tremendous, as the boys constructed a massive luge and spent the better part of the whole weekend racing one another down it. David was splendidly unobtrusive, and let the boys enjoy themselves the entire weekend without overstepping a single toe. Upon arrival, we asked whether we ought to take our shoes off inside the residence, to which he responded "up to you! it's your place for the weekend". Simply fantastic. The house itself is lovely, with solid common spaces, and plenty of private bedrooms. The bathrooms were great for what we needed, as were the towels, bed spreads, toiletries, and so forth. The area was snowed over and quiet--perfect for individuals who were seeking to disconnect in the evenings. At night, the ice was perfect for stargazing, too. To top things all off, David and his wife made dinner for our entire group on our final evening, a lip-smacking tray array of chicken, veggies, cookies, and more. We couldn't have asked for more. This, perhaps, goes without saying, but we will definitely look to come back next year. We were hesitant, initially, given such a long drive in store for the players, and with the area looking fairly isolated--but our worries were all reassured once we arrived. A local grocery store was more than sufficient, along with various other restaurants, natural sights, and so forth. David's pot is a true Ontarian gem. Five stars all around!”

“Absolutely stunning property and the inside is just as gorgeous! The house is huge with more space than we expected. The upper deck was lovely for morning coffee and yoga, and the enclosed lower deck was perfect for nights in the hot tub protected from insects! Everything is close by: foodland, lcbo, beaches, parks, and even a kawartha adventure rentals which is just down the street where we rented a jet ski for the day. I would 100% recommend, and I look forward to visiting again in the future!!!”

“David was a great host, and the space was exactly what we were looking for in a little family getaway from the city. Big windows with a beautiful view of the lake, and lots of rooms/beds for our family of six to stay at. David provided great tips for little walks in the forest, and we were able to go skating on the frozen lake right in front of the property. Would certainly stay here again!”
