This cottage and the surrounding area was just perfect! We stayed with a few friends over New Years and the photos don’t do it justice, the cottage is massive and fit our group so well. The large garden was perfect for our dog who loved running around and the views were just stunning. Rachel was a brilliant host, provided lots of local recommendations and was really accommodating to us. We will definitely be back! 😊

We had a lovely few days in Maureen's cottage; everything was as described, the place was very cosy, and Maureen was very nice and helpful. No complaints, fully recommend. For other non-drivers: Drogheda town centre is only about 20 minutes' walk away, the bus to Dublin and the airport stops 15 minutes away, and if you want to hike through Boyne Valley, the riverside trails are just down the road. Super easy to reach.

"Little Cottage" by the Sea

We booked Little Cottage for a relax after a few days on the road and it did not disappoint. Michelle was great with all info needed, the house had everything we needed and we felt right at home. We were lucky enough to have a lovely spring evening on arrival to watch the tide come in as the sun set. And when the cold and rain came we snuggled in by the fire. A lovely spot to watch the world go by or explore the local area.

The place was ideal. We were staying in Carlingford for a wedding, with my parents to look after our children. The house was well equipped for the children, Jim left a baby swing for our 3 month old which was invaluable. Outdoor toys, indoor games fabulous. The kids loved the garden and doing laps of the house on their bikes! Jim was very responsive, gave great instructions and was very helpful allowing us to check out later on in the day which helped with three children, to not be rushed! Thanks, highly recommend this to anyone.

A beautiful blend of cosy charm and great amenities. This house is equipped for all occasions and all weathers! Nestled above Dundalk Bay it offers mountain walks, great views and comfortable accommodation. The cottage is more rustic than the barn - a combination of both is a winner for family groups. We loved the sauna after a long walk. And we were delighted with the welcome and the communication during our stay. Nothing was too much bother and we were made to feel like locals. Thanks a million.

This is an absolutely beautiful place and perfect spot for our traditional weekend away with friends. The house was very comfortable, cosy, well kept and the grounds with surrounding park a great place for having walks. The house was warm and welcoming, and we utterly enjoyed our stay. Greatly recommend for a quiet but very comfortable few days away.

We completely enjoyed this short, unique stay. It's a remarkedly well thought out & functional space despite it's size. We appreciated the cooking options, outdoor table & comfortable sofa bed. The skylights make the room very bright in the morning, but sleeping masks are provided. Both Suzanne & Seamus were great hosts & we enjoyed getting to meet them & learn more about the property and area. It was well located to explore Northern Island and the county around Omeath/Carlingford. Recommend!

Beautiful location with everything needed for a quiet and chilled out stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. Conor was helpful with local recommendations and answering any questions we had. Great big house! We stayed as a large group for a birthday for one night and it was perfect for us. Nigel was very helpful and accommodating. Great location walking distance to bars and restaurants but very easy to get a taxi too if you don’t feel like walking. Would definitely book again if we stayed in carlingford again.

Sinead is a lovely host! The place was exactly what we wanted and the location we wanted. It's not a 5 star resort but the price reflects that. We were happy. The beds were clean and comfortable. Crow’s Hermitage, was exactly as described!; however, Colm (the host) went above and beyond to make us feel at home. When we arrived (late) the wood burning stove was already warming up the place for us, the music was playing some relaxing tunes and there was a small bread waiting on the breakfast table for us. Colm, was very accommodating with our late arrival. While he wanted to meet us upon arriving he still talked us through everything over the phone to be sure we were settled for our first night. Throughout our stay, we really felt at home! Thank you Colm for having us and we can’t wait to visit again!!

Mike was Uber friendly and helpful. The place itself is very comfortable and has a lived in feel. Was a great space for our friends kids to play in/around without the worry of staying in a museum like place!! A walk away from the beach, cafés and other local spots. 5 min drive from most shops like Lidl, Eurospar and 10 mins from 2 massive Tesco's. Perfect for us and our large group of friends/family. Will be returning in the future :)

The location and the house were idyllic. The decor is perfect for the age of the house. Perfect to access Dublin but was also a good base for other day trips like Waterford (2hrs), Blarney castle and stone (3hrs) and the Cliffs of Moher (3.5hrs). Lots of really cool local places too Skerries Mills (30 mins), New Grange (30 mins), Battle of Boyne Museum (30 mins) and Hill of Tara (30 mins). Very good local restaurants. Serena is an extremely good host and responds to text quickly. Would definitely stay again.

We had the most incredible stay at Sabina and David’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, they were so warm and welcoming, making us feel completely at home. They were so, so accommodating and responsive, making everything effortless from start to finish. The setting was absolutely stunning—even on a grey day, the surroundings had a magical quality. Their attention to detail and care in every aspect of the space was evident, with everything spotless and thoughtfully finished. Every amenity you could think of was provided, from a luxurious sauna and jacuzzi to breathtaking views, with plenty of bird-watching to enjoy. One of the highlights was our morning kayaking session—such a perfect way to start the day! It was also such a handy and quick break from Dublin, yet it felt like a world away. We only wish we had booked a longer stay, but we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway
