Milargos and her husband welcomed us with infinite kindness. Bedroom (very large) and bathroom are very, very clean. It is in a beautiful flower garden. The dinner Milargos prepared for us (delicious ropa vieja😋) and breakfast (delicious too) were taken in the garden, covered. We would highly recommend this family and this place.

We really enjoyed staying at Casa Yumi! It was one of our favorite places in all of Cuba. Pictures can not convey the loveliness of the room, which was so well constructed, with hand crafted wooden cabinets and furniture and windows all around to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. It had a comfortable bed, a well woking air conditioner and a really nice shower, everything needed for a comfortable stay. The food was delicious as well. Yusnelys was a wonderful cook. She made the best food of our whole three week trip. We were impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the care put in to every meal. One night we even had delicious pork which Hector had smoked himself. The whole family are warm and generous people. Do yourself a favor and stay with them. We cannot wait to return!

Really wonderful to stay here, a beautiful view and immersed in nature. Be warned that the fans won’t work if the power goes out, but there was a great breeze through the cottage at night, so that wasn’t an issue. Wanda was an amazing host,really appreciated how communicative she was.

This was a lovely place to stay! It is beautifully situated and easy to get to the village centre on foot. Mariano was a great communicator and was very helpful, flexible and friendly. He organised a fantastic birdwatching tour with a local artist and his wife cooked us lovely breakfasts and arranged reservations for us at a great vegetarian place in the village (El Romero). The room and bathroom are spacious and the front balcony provides excellent views of the mountains. The natural swimming pools are nearby too. We’d recommend here for Las Terrazas!

Aliuskas place is a bit of heaven on earth. Soroa is a less touristy place so in my opinion, worth visiting. I engaged the services of a local guide Alex Diaz who taught me about the birds, plants, history of the region. Aliuska was able to offer me both breakfast and dinner, the dinner was the best food I ate in Cuba. Simple, many vegetables, perfect. Their casa is next to a one room school for grades k-5. So, if you are inclined I would ask her if she needs anything for the children. I brought powdered milk for an activity she was doing to make hot chocolate for them. The power is not on 100% so bring a phone charger and flashlight. Also, mosquito repellant. I would 1000% recommend Aliuska’s casa as a way to experience the beauty of Cuba. And I am sure that she can curate any type of experience you are looking for.

The house was beautiful with plenty of property to explore and feel inside of nature. Jenny is a yoga instructor and we even had a private yoga session in the morning, while they served us coffee and tea from their garden. They provided us with dinner one night, when we requested it. They have a neighbor who has a horse that brought us in carriage to eat dinner. The house is decorated with all hand-made art from family and friends. We were very close to the Salto Cascada de Arcoiris and el Avioncito for hiking and being in the waterfalls. Perfect for if you want to get into nature and disconnect!

I already gave a review for the top half of the house it is the same on the lower ab everything works great great views staff is outstanding everything worked well bathrooms are very spacious.. I would definitely return.. The pool and the jacuzzi are great touches.. highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area

very well located accommodation, close to hikes and nature. spacious, quiet, independent. good meals and breakfasts. space for our son to play outside. Carlos showed us his large vegetable garden. only one restaurant (the one in the hotel 500m away) next door for the other meals.

The decision to stop in Soroa was a valuable enrichment. Virginia welcomed me warmly and we were able to communicate well. She lives alone, her dear sister next door - pure women's power:-) Unfortunately, her garden was quite devastated by the cyclone. She would certainly appreciate helping hands, volunteer 'gardeners' are welcome! I highly recommend breakfast and dinner, even a few drinks can be purchased from her. Soroa is a simple village, located on gently curved ridge. Perfect for getting down and to get to know Cuba authentically. It invites you for walks. The waterfall is a highlight! A horseback ride or bicycle as well as a visit to Las Terazzas, if possible, are recommended. Thank you for the pleasant stay and the plant science dear Virgina, all the best!

Amazing stay at Daymara's, the basic accommodation was not available but we were able to stay in a small outbuilding, right next door, at Daymara's parents' place. The whole family is more than welcoming, the village is beautiful and some activities are feasible without a car: el salto and el mirador. It is also possible to take advantage of the Soroa hotel swimming pool for free, very pleasant after the hot walk to El Mirador. Finally, what would be this casa particulare without the incredible cuisine of Daymara's mom, certainly the classic rice-poulet-fruits is still present but cooked this time in the best way. We highly recommend this host!

i was very satisfied with everything, on the one hand it was a very fun communication with Carlos, on the other hand, the man can cook sooo well. The apperetiv plate in the evening was the hammer and the yogurt drink in the morning was simply delicious. With my bike problems, Carlos helped me super. Just a great atmosphere. Many thanks tot the family of Dona Estrella! We felt very welcome and they took very good care of us. The casa is also a farm were they grow their crops and keep different kind of animals. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was very good and lavish and everything was as expected. Las Terrazas itself is quite a long walk (4 km) so we did that only once (besides the lovely hike we did in La Terrazzas). Ask voor Haziel (their neighbor and member of the family) to take you there if you don't want to walk. He speaks English and takes you there or picks you up for a friendly price. If you like animals please take their lovely and very friendly dog Nina for a walk, she will enjoy that extremely. (The family is very busy and they can't always find the time).

Staying at this Airbnb was an absolute delight! From start to finish, our experience was outstanding. The host, Carmen and Hector went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed, making our stay seamless and enjoyable. A totally beautiful location. Wanda was extremely communicative, and we had wonderful experiences, both exploring the area as well as relaxing on the property itself. Of note, blackouts seem to be pretty common, so even though there are fans, these won’t work during the blackout. That’s it, this isn’t anything that Wanda could control for, just something to plan for, and certainly not a reason to avoid this magical area.
