The life rhythm in the cottage is basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly created food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, cat, chickens, walking, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

Unwind in a beautiful setting with plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, and other outdoor sports. In addition to the beautiful nature, there is a lot of history to see (hunebed within walking distance) and there are the necessary restaurants nearby. The stay is a 10-minute drive from Assen and features a private entrance, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and nice outdoor terrace. Stay for 1-4 people and doesn't include breakfast. The surrounding area offers many cycling and hiking opportunities. Unspoiled forests, moors, villages. In Hooghalen (easy walking distance) there is a baker and small supermarket.

Annemieke is a fantastic host, so kind, helpful and responsive. The Cottage is absolutely beautiful with all the amenities you could wish for. The garden is a stunning place to relax in. It’s a lovely and peaceful area with easy access to Assen. I would thoroughly recommend this home.

We had a wonderful stay at Landgoed Overcingel. The estate itself is stunning, peaceful, historic, and surrounded by beautiful nature. We have really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. The area is wonderfully quiet but everything you could need is also nearby (supermarket/restaurants). The cottage has more than enough amenities. The dog also enjoyed the large enclosed garden and the surrounding greenery. Sidenote for the tall people among us... the bath is fantastic! With my 1.85 m I even had space left! We will definitely come back again!

We had a lovely weekend in Diego's mobile home. It is cozy and tastefully decorated, clear instruction folder and Diego is helpful and responds quickly. We gratefully used the bikes in the shed. From the campsite, you are immediately in beautiful woodland with beautiful sights. Thank you very much!
