Family-friendly vacation rentals in Long Melford

We had a lovely long weekend at Anna’s Coach House celebrating my mum’s 60th with my family. There was something for everyone including our 3 toddlers. Grounds were beautiful & the house smelt lovely & clean. Anna was very responsive & helpful during the lead up to the stay as well as during our stay. The only slight negative myself and my guests had was that upon booking we had expectations that some things would be included in the price as it was shown in the photographs (hot tub, extra fire wood,electric charger for example) but these were all at an additional costs that we were unknown about when originally booking. There were a few logs but didn’t last more than half an evening. Apart from this everything was lovely & we would recommend Anna’s Coach House.

Sarah and Aaron were great hosts. Extremely friendly and flexible , our kids loved chatting with them at the end of the driveway. They let our little boy fish in their big pond which he loved and chopped extra wood for me who loves their open fire and log burner in what is a lovely spacious house. Such a spacious and peaceful stay. Would absolutely recommend this air b&b and these hosts. No stress at all. Thank you

I have just returned from an absolutely amazing stay at The Osiers. The cottage is even more stunning in person! I was so excited when we pulled up in the car because it’s so beautiful from the outside, but I was even more excited when we walked into the house! The kitchen and dining area/conservatory are so stunning, the lounge is so cosy and inviting and the bedrooms are beautiful. And, as for the garden, it’s incredible! It’s a gorgeous big, private garden with a table and chairs and a hot tub, which my nieces were very happy about! We all loved sitting out in the garden listening to the birds singing and watching the sheep and alpaca in the field opposite. My only disappointment was not getting to see the deers, but that’s nature for you! Maybe next time.. Joanna and Chris could not have been more helpful, accommodating and friendly. They really are 5* hosts! The cottage and location were so wonderful, we definitely plan to revisit! I highly recommend booking up a stay here.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Marcus ensured we were very well informed before arrival providing a guest book with comprehensive information and recommendations. We were greeted with bottles of wine & the house was very warm & music sound system set up. The barn is absolutely beautiful & immaculate. It is in a very remote area but this suited us all as we were happy to stay in and enjoy it. The log burner, games room & hot tub were added bonuses. A big thank you to Marcus for a truly amazing weekend break away with good friends ❤️

We had the most magical stay at this stunning countryside home for a bachelorette celebration, hands down the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in! The house is beautifully designed, warm, and had everything we could’ve needed and more. Set in the most picturesque spot, with rolling field views full of yellow flowers, it truly felt like the ultimate countryside escape. The open-plan kitchen and living area was perfect for our intimate dinner party, spacious yet cosy, and ideal for gathering as a group. Each bedroom had its own charm and was so comfortable and inviting. Outside, the garden was just as beautiful, and the hot tub was a total highlight! The attention to detail throughout the property made it feel really special, and the overall experience felt both luxurious and homely. Communication with the host was seamless and so helpful from start to finish. We’re already dreaming about our return!

The most gorgeous house with great facilities. Such peaceful surroundings and felt very safe and secure. The host gave some many recommendations on activities and places to go that aren’t far from the area. Can be a little hard to find, however the host gave clear instructions. Couldn’t recommend more!

Perfect Stay at Helen’s, We had a very relaxing long Easter weekend at the Barn with my elderly parents and we even brought our kitten! Helen was very responsive to messages and went above and beyond to secure the cat flap so our kitten couldn’t escape! The garden was glorious with long sweeping views over the English countryside. We enjoyed the remote and peaceful location. There were fabulous trail runs from the gate which we enjoyed at the start of every day. We would highly recommend a stay here.

This is a lovely house in a great spot. Very comfortable, loads of space and all good amenities. The owner lives opposite and so is on hand if you have any questions. Walking distance to the town and nice country walks. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a perfect weekend at the Old Forge which is cosy and full of history. We followed two of the walks from the folder and it was lovely visiting some local villages and pubs. Marianne is kind and thoughtful and offered to help when our dog was stung by a bee on a walk. We had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing weekend and we felt very at home.

Kate met us as we pulled up and was very friendly, and gave us some recommendations for pubs and food nearby. The house itself was so rustic and cosy. Everything was clean and tidy, and Kate even left some chocolate and other bits for us when we arrived. Location was spot on, walking distance from a couple of nice pubs and the area is so peaceful and quiet. Me and a couple of friends booked the airbnb as we was playing golf nearby over the bank holiday weekend, and this was absolutely ideal to come back to and spend the evenings. 100% Recommend, very nice place to stay with a lovely host!

We had a great, restful time here. Lovely layout, nice & big front room, peaceful surrounding. Lived having the chickens and ducks and seeing some beautiful birds. Hosts super responsive and really helpful. Highly recommend!

Watt cottage is a beautiful little cottage which makes you feel at home. The cottage was well equipped with all the essentials needed. Samantha communicated with me when needed and responded quickly. I would definitely recommend staying at Watt cottage. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay ! Humperdink feels cosy and comfortable inside and then you have the peacefulness of the surroundings right on the doorstep . The weather was perfect so we enjoyed walking through the bird reserve as well as a lovely visit to Mersea island . Inside , there’s pretty much everything you could need for a stay and my teenage boys even enjoyed looking through and playing a couple of the games ! We saw pheasants, deer , rabbits and plenty of water birds and the clear starry sky was just beautiful. Highly recommended as a peaceful and relaxing get away from it all stay 😊

Great few days in the annex. Great location for exploring the area. The annex was clean and very comfortable. Would stay again.

The Coach House is beautiful, cosy, secure and a walkable distance into Woodbridge. The bedrooms in particular are lovely — high-quality bedding, both en-suite. It's located in the very large garden of Julia's house, which guests are free to make use of. Because Melton is a mile or so out of Woodbridge, it's easy to drive out towards places like Orford (well worth a visit). Julia was very easy to deal with. We would be very happy to return.

Accommodation: The caravan itself was spotless and well-equipped with all the modern amenities one could need. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and appliances, making it easy to prepare meals. The living area was cosy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Bonus did not need to take bed linen as the beds were made up Facilities: The park’s facilities were top-notch. The communal areas were clean and well-maintained, and the on-site shop had everything we needed. The kids loved the playground and the swimming pool, which were both safe and fun.

Lovely place the setting was gorgeous we all had a fabulous time thankyou so much for mum& dads hamper that you left us ! The hot tub was just right all in all was a lovely break for us all & the dogs loved it aswell!

Jenny, I hope you like my review, we enjoyed our short holiday in your caravan. I think you will need to fix some of the furniture, like the wardrobe door in the double room. Otherwise everything was fine, thanks. Peter

A lovely caravan in a beautifully quiet location with a great view, but on a park which offers lots of activities and facilities. Really comfortable beds. Ideal for couples as 3 doubles. Sharon always replied quickly when I messaged and was helpful. I’m sure we will be back in the future.

Lovely apart nice a clean. Nice size bedroom. Host communicated with me from start to finish. Highly recommended 5 star service Will definitely revisit again soon.

A fantastic lodge which had everything we needed for our stay and was spotlessly clean. Michelle was lovely and met us on arrival to explain everything. Would highly recommend.

A comfortable barn to stay in with the added benefit of both a pool and tennis court to enjoy during your stay.
