Had a lovely time at Julie’s, right in the centre of town so easy to walk everywhere and accessible from the train station. Beautifully restored and very cosy. Enjoyed a walk to Rutter force through beautiful countryside.

Amanda and Joe's Airbnb is so spectacular! Lovely grounds, lots of little walks and places to explore. ideal location to access Penrith and the Lakes. The Airbnb itself is so cosy and pretty. Possibly the nicest Airbnb I have ever stayed in! Great hosts, very good at communicating and helped us out when we forgot a vital bit of equipment for our bikes 😁

My colleagues and I stayed here for the Lake District Might Hike Marathon. The house was spotlessly clean, all the beds were comfortable, everything you need is provided from towels to kitchen utensils. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Pete.

Thanks for a great stay Jules...We both wish we'd stayed longer.... Jules was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area... Great place to stay. We stayed in The Downhouse. All the accommodation at Pheasant Bush looked great. Definitely stay again when we visit The Lakes. Thanks again

Fern Cottage, Great Strickland

Beautiful cottage in a fab location. Great local pub with excellent chips, and easy to drive/walk to local attractions and walks. The cottage was charming, and very nicely decorated. We spent ages sitting in the lovely warm conservatory which was very welcome as the weather was very changeable. The bed was very comfortable and linen smelled lovely. Very quiet location and our little dog loved watching the birds in the garden.

Industrial Cosy Cottage, Gateway to the Lakes

This was hands down one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever had in the Lake District! The cottage was absolutely stunning — beautifully designed with so much attention to detail. It had such a warm, welcoming feel and was immaculately clean. One of the highlights for me was how incredibly dog-friendly it was. My dog was spoiled with a comfy dog bed, and there were even food and water bowls provided — such a thoughtful touch that made us both feel right at home! The cottage was fully stocked with everything you could need: toiletries and a full range of cleaning supplies, and all the little extras that make a stay feel effortless and comfortable. It’s rare to find a place that’s both aesthetically beautiful and genuinely practical, but this one nailed it. I can’t recommend it enough — I’ll definitely be coming back!

The Meadow Cottage at Scalebeck

Lovely and peaceful setting down narrow country lanes, yet convenient for Appleby and the M6. The Lake District is about a half hour drive away but the Westmoreland Dales are stunning anyway. The friendly village pub serves good food and beer at modest prices. The cottage is very well equipped with a big bedroom and a fabulous shower in the adjacent bathroom. Only slight downside is that, being downstairs, the bedroom gets cold in less clement weather. However, there is central heating and a fan heater can be borrowed if really necessary. Kay went out of her way to ensure everything was fine for us.
