Luxurious, Pet-Friendly Flower Farm by Wineries

KathyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
John and Gaby are excellent hosts. They were so flexible and kind that I felt as if I were communicating with family. It put me at ease and I was able to concentrate on all of the logistics that come with Mother of the Bride biz. I would definitely return for a weekend away and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring our dog with us. I had also rented two other locations in the vicinity and Maple Crest stood out, by far, as the most enjoyable experience and most personable interactions. We had the time of our lives and are very grateful that John and Gaby generously share their beautiful home!

Perfect getaway at a Waterfront Lake Villa

Sometimes a great host is not defined by just their hospitality and attention to detail but also by their accessibility and ability to respond to unexpected "emergencies." This host demonstrated not only hospitality but genuine care by helping us address an unexpected problem ... on a holiday weekend no less. This speaks volumes about them and despite the unexpected "happenings" of life, I would recommend them without hesitation.

Restored Historic Stone Greenhouse

The Greenhouse on John's property was perfect for our short-term stay. We really wished we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy the expansive property and further enjoy the beautiful landscape. John was a wonderful host; he proactively communicated with us prior to our arrival, met us at the entrance to the property to show us the way upon arrival, and checked on us throughout our stay. He has a lovely property and is doing a fabulous job of preserving and restoring it. The location was perfect for all of our planned activities in Gordonsville and Keswick. We will definitely consider staying at John's property on a future visit to the area.

Entire Lakehouse property / Private DOCK (DC/DMV )

NathanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great, quiet home off a windy road. Felt like space away from all the crowds and still close to everything. Fun for our group to have the kayaks and pedal boat to get out on the water. Hosts were communicative and made sure everything during the stay was great. Also provided recommendations for local restaurants for our trip.

Wilderness Presidential Resort in Virginia

The cabin on the lake was relaxing, comfortable and a great central place for allowing us to visit the historic Civil War battlefields in the area, Monticello and close enough to Washington D.C.to enjoy two days of sightseeing there. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the cabin porch and watching the fishermen in their boats, the birds and especially the swan who came to visit us.
