Tyn Llyn, remote and very special

CristianRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Amazing location to switch off and relax. The place is pretty basic which is fine but it needs a bit of TLC. Would be great to have the wood at the house and not having to ask for it all the time. Worth visiting for sure for the location and views/walk around the private estate.

Beautifully converted chapel in rural setting.

SarahRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a wonderful stay in the chapel, it is beautifully presented, in lovely surrounds. The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were exactly as they said. The bedding was lovely too. We enjoyed a 7 mile walk at Harlech beach, stunning, a walk from Barmouth to Fairbourne. We did a circlular from Llangollen including Castell Dinas Brân. Highly recommend. Use All-trials app. Bod Petryal was a wonderful forest walk in the Clocaenog Forest. Stunning. We saw loads of dragon flies. We did green and yellow. Free parking. We stopped at the VALLE CRUCIS ABBEY well worth a stop as you go past. Free to visit and park. Coed Moel Famau - in the heart of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We did a brilliant walk to the top - Jubilee tower. After we sat and watched the sunset and relaxed with our deck chairs and coffee. An awesome view. We took the blue route. Wonderful scenery and plants. Great selection of orchids. All in all a wonderful trip. Recommend it

Absolutely fabulous stay! Cottage was beautiful and cosy with plenty of walks around the wonderful landscape. Daniel and Paul were lovely, proactive and responsive hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and being close to some cute villages as well. Can't recommend enough.

Rustic retreat with stunning views of Bala lake

AlisonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We were a family of 4 and really enjoyed our time at the Cottage. It felt very homely and we spent every evening sitting upstairs admiring the spectacular view or sitting in front of the fire playing the huge selection of board games that were in the house. Despite the inclement weather we did not have any issues driving to the cottage without a 4x4 and loved the quiet and secluded nature of the cottage. We did a lovely walk from the house to nearby Bala and then got the steam train back and then it was just a 10 minute walk up through some fields back to the cottage. Although there was no WiFi we had no issues with reception so kids were happy! Really friendly and responsive hosts. I would highly recommend this place.

Amazing sea/mountain view-beach 10 minute walk

MarilynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house was spotless, very well equipped with good quality items and had everything we needed. It was so quiet and peaceful, we never heard a sound other than the sea and the occasional seagull. The garden was very private. We went to Porthmadog and did a trip on the steam train to Beddgelert which is such a pretty village. We got an ice cream and sat by the river. Lovely shops too. We went to Portmeirion one day which was lovely as it was a warm sunny day. The most outstanding feature of course was the stunning view. It was an absolute joy to watch the sunsets as the big orange sun gradually disappeared behind the mountains. Something we will remember forever.
