Jane’s Old Schoolhouse is awesome. Whimsical, relaxed, well equipped kitchen, loved all the little knooks to curl up with a book & cup of coffee or wine. Would love to enjoy the porches, however both visits offered us rain & cool weather. Great for doing puzzles & enjoying the wood stove.

A beautiful, well decorated and stocked farmhouse, that has been updated in a minimalist and charming manner. While the RT17 is down the hill and a bit noisy, the proximity to the river to access excellent flyfishing was perfect. a great porch to enjoy dinner outside, after cooking on the BBQ, was private and a perfect way to spend the evening. a short drive into Livingston Manor or Roscoe gives access to breweries, shops and groceries with ease.

It's our second trip to this beautiful home full of natural light. It's a perfect place to have a beautiful, comfortable, private cabin next to river for quiet time to recharge. The deck was perfect for reading, yoga and relaxing slow breakfasts. Close drive to many hiking trails (our favorite is Alder lake). Close drive to good food especially on weekends (many places closed mid-week, but the organic market nearby has plenty of good food for simple meals at home). Everything is beautiful, well-maintained, clean and hosts are very responsive and helpful.
