Bowkett Cottage

We had a lovely time at Luke's place for celebrating my mum's 60th. Really helpful and accommodating, and speedy with replies. Great location right on the edge of the Forest of Dean with so many activities on your doorstep.
The image depicts a tranquil garden area featuring a flowering tree and lush greenery. A hedgerow provides a backdrop, while various shrubs and bushes create texture throughout the space. The sky is bright, adding a sense of openness to the scene.

Cottage in Forest of Dean

A well placed spot for the exploring the Forest and all the walks. Easy parking and access to the property. the cottage is clean and tidy. Comfy beds and a lovely gesture of a welcome of a box of basics. Jo was responsive and very friendly with family close by to support. We had a brilliant time. walked miles and really enjoyed some great food in the Golden Lion in Cinderford. Explored Coleford and found a great vinyl shop. Tesco is close by as are small local shops. Clearwell caves is worth a visit and the current exhibition is brilliant.

Idyllic Romance & Charm in Nature + Stunning Views

We had an amazing stay at Robyn and Leslie’s cabin! They were incredibly kind and polite hosts who went above and beyond to make our trip special. The cabin was the perfect cozy getaway, and we absolutely loved relaxing in the jacuzzi. Their thoughtful birthday setup with roses, bubbly, cake, and a card for my girlfriend made everything even more memorable. We also adored their lovely dogs! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, highly recommend!

Fabulous place to stay, home is beautifully sited in the middle of the back of beyond, with amazing views across the hills. Has a pretty little garden with lovely seating area and large French doors to bring the outdoors in. Beds are comfortable and plenty of options for air flow when the weather is warm. Can also recommend the chippy in Mitcheldean.

Our stay was incredible. It was quiet, peaceful with beautiful views from the treehouse. The kitchen was so well equipped which made cooking meals so much fun! We also got so many recommendations on what to do around the area and every single place we stopped by did not disappoint. Everything was extremely neat and clean, and we loved the way the space was decorated. Overall a 10/10 experience, would definitely be back!!

The cottage is an excellent place to stay for a visit to the Forest of Dean. Lots of walking routes straight from the cottage with no need to use the car. It is well equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. The peace and quiet was lovely.
A panoramic view captures a lush green landscape surrounding a winding river. The water reflects patches of sky, while clusters of trees frame the scene. Quaint buildings are nestled along the riverbanks, set against the backdrop of rolling hills.

Forest based 1-bedroom barn.

AlisonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Katie’s place is cosy, clean, private and in a great location - within very short walking distance to the edge of the Forest of Dean but also within easy driving distance to other major road routes. She was a welcoming and responsive host and The Barn easy to find as per the map pin instructions. I loved the ingenious design of the hob/fridge/sink inside the cupboard, it makes use of the space really well. If you only need to be able to prepare breakfasts and simple meals, it’s ideal. Overall The Barn represents good value for 1-2 people visiting what is a beautiful part of the country.
