Wendin Cottage - Character Lake District Cottage

DavidRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Everything we expected. As described and shown. Small but perfectly formed. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. We could have done with some more outside space for our dog but overall we were very comfortable and pleased, and would certainly recommend this cottage. The parking space a plus.

Stunning Kiernan Boathouse Bowness with Hottub

AmandaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a lovely short stay at The BoatHouse. Views were absolutely stunning and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The beds were super comfy. The work next door was a little noisy at times but we were pre-warned and to be honest it didn’t bother us. Just beware to close the blind in the bathroom as the crane provides a direct view in! Please note that you need to bring your own toilet/kitchen roll for the accommodation otherwise everything was extremely well stocked. Would definitely return!

A handwritten note captures a celebration of a birthday weekend. The message expresses gratitude, with the names Joe and Molly prominently featured. Beneath the text, a simple heart sketch adds a personal touch to the page, set against the texture of a wooden surface.

We stayed at Harry's place for just one night but wished it was for longer after getting a feel for the place. The accommodation is beautifully designed with brilliant features in every corner. We had everything we needed at the cottage and Harry is a fab communicator giving us lots of helpful information. The town itself was buzzing with interesting characters and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ulverston and can't wait to return.

Fox Corner Ambleside Boutique cottage with Hot Tub

SophieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed for a week in Fox Corner for our mini moon and it was perfect for our needs - location couldn’t get better for visiting all of the local spots and there are so many beautiful walks right from the front door. Our pooch was also very comfortable and we appreciated the doggie bed and towel! Dave was so responsive and helpful when we had a minor issue during our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub after coming back from a busy day exploring. Fox Corner had all the bits we needed to have a cosy and comfortable stay. We would definitely return!

Howe Tarn. A stylish 1 bed ground floor apartment.

MaddyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A lovely modern apartment - it was clean and tidy with essentials (e.g hand soap, dishcloths, towels etc) as described. Beautiful view outside the living room/bedroom, perfect for sitting outside even if its raining since the table/chairs are sheltered. Fast wifi which was great. Communication with the host was great. The closest cafe is lovely too however if travelling without a car other restaurants are quite a walk or bus ride away (10-15 min drive). Lots of long walks nearby - we walked to ambleside via the hills and it was beautiful. One thing to note is the site is quite hilly but it's to be expected in the lakes. Would recommend 👍

The end terrace cottage has delightful views across the valley to the high fells. It’s warm and cosy with huge windows to take in the views. The kitchen is well equipped with thoughtful little extras. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay and it was a great base to come back to after a day’s hiking. We loved it!

Cherry Tree Cottage

AdaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cottage was beautiful, the views from every room were stunning. The house was clean and tidy. We loved staying there! Check-in and out were easy. However, if you put the entire address in Google Maps for the cottage it sends you to a different house in Ambleside, so use the post code. Also there is no service in the area so plan the route in advance. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again in the future!
