The interior has been updated to provide modern comforts, but there are plenty of quirky original details to make this a unique romantic getaway. Enjoy a delicious breakfast from a tree house with views to the city and river (optional — €20 for 2 people). For little ones', or the grown-ups', fun we do have an small swimming pool during spring and summer. Here you'll find a great getaway from the city buzz, but only 10min away by walking to the ferry that takes you to Lisbon. 5 min walking distance to the Fluvial station of Porto Brandão from which a 10min boat trip will take you directly to Belém. The Windmill was totally refurbished but kept the original feel, with practically no alterations to the original structure preserving all stones, windows and iron pieces as initially found when the property was purchased. This accommodation offers the unique experience of sleeping on a building with more than 150 years of history, originally used for grinding flour to be sent to feed the inhabitants of Lisboa. In the kitchen on the ground floor you’ll find 5 millstones that will bring you closer to this past time. This cozy Windmill is equipped with a very comfortable bed for well-rested nights and a lounge area that provides a great spot to chill at sunset, enjoy a glass of wine or even to have a meal, but that can also accommodate 2 additional people on a double mattress. Adding to the character and comfort found in this Windmill you'll find stunning views from here. You’ll be able to see several sights along the river such as the 25 de Abril bridge, MAAT, Museu da Electricidade, Padrão dos Descobrimentos, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and as far as the Sintra’s Palácio da Pena goes. Depending on the time of the year you will also be presented with blossoming trees, be able to pick fruits directly from them, or even enjoy a meal on top of an olive tree treehouse. Ideal for slow-paced tourism, nature lovers, romantic escapes, or family trips this accommodation offers plenty of opportunities due to its characteristics, vicinity to cosmopolitan Lisboa and a bunch of interesting sites. The windmill is on the south bank of the Tejo River, just across from Belém. It's in the quiet of the countryside, and is just 10 minutes from Lisbon by ferry boat and many beaches by car. 5 min walking distance to the Fluvial station of Porto Brandão from which a 10min boat trip will take you directly to Lisbon (Belém). From Belém to city center there are plenty trains (10min). Please check the time schedule for the ferrys at Transtejo website. Connection between Belem and Porto Brandão. A taxi/uber drive from Lisbon city center to the windmill usually it's about 20eur.

It was built in 1940 and was recently totally restored. An electric car or a 9 seat Van is available for rental by request, with excellent conditions, pick up in Sintra or at the airport.

At the risk of not being very original given the different reviews left before, Filipe and Isabel's hospitality were really perfect! Their kind dog Nova is adorable too. The apartment is very well located a 5-minute walk from the train station, which allowed us to get to Lisbon, sometimes Cascais but also 10 minutes from the beach. We really recommend this rental ideal for a couple and a child. Also, all amenities are as advertised.

I stayed for a month getting to know the area with a view to settling in the vicinity & this was the perfect base - wonderful, knowledgable hosts, quiet environment & peaceful countryside with only a 12 min drive into the centre of Cascais and a 15 min traffic free walk to Guincho beach. I’d recommend having a car as the village has limited amenities, but everything you need is a short drive away & the train from Cascais will take you into central Lisbon in no time. I can’t recommend My Friends House highly enough.

The studio villa features two single beds neatly arranged with navy blue linens. A wooden ceiling beams across the cozy space. A small desk is positioned nearby, accompanied by a potted plant. Welcome decor hangs on the wall, and warm lighting is provided by bedside lamps.

Unique accommodation in a 100 + year old mill with mill decor partially preserved. Beautifully located with great views. Sandra received us with great warmth and generosity. We had wishes to see more mills and Clotilde was very helpful. A home we are happy to recommend.

Very pretty and quite spacious igloos with wonderful views of nature. The additionally ordered breakfast basket was very lovingly put together. And the sauna, hot tub and cold tub were great! We would come back.

We had a great time at Konrads Tiny House! Beautiful views and very peaceful. The home itself was new and very clean, there was also an outdoor pool and sauna! We would love to visit again and would highly recommended

We stayed at Manny and TJ’s tiny house for two nights and absolutely loved it. The space was spotless, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful details that made it feel like home. The outdoor area was peaceful, private, and perfect for unwinding after a day out. Our 6-year-old son had an absolute blast exploring and playing outside — it’s a great spot for families. The outdoor office setup was also a fantastic bonus for remote work, offering a quiet and inspiring space to get things done. We really appreciated the welcome guide and the group chat they created, which made communication and finding local recommendations super easy. The attention to detail and cleanliness truly stood out, and we felt cared for every step of the way. We’re already hoping to return soon and spend even more time in this lovely space. Highly recommend!

This place is just wonderful. We had a very nice and relaxed stay in this fantastic tiny house. The house has a magnificent view of the valley from the bedroom window! We didn't miss anything. The house is spacious and has an amazing amount of space! The surroundings with the pond and the animals (chickens, goats, a horse) are very relaxing and the departure was a bit difficult for us. Guillermo is a very nice and communicative host. Absolutely great! We are very happy to have found this enchanting place, will definitely come again and definitely recommend this accommodation to others!
