Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. There is also a washer and dryer. Should also note that this is a lower level suite with stairs to access.

Nestled on five secluded, tree-lined acres, with a pond, waterfall, fire pit, tree swing, basketball court and walking trails, The Shire feels a million miles away from it all - but isn't! We are only minutes away from wineries, breweries, amazing beaches, restaurants and shopping. (Notre Dame is an easy 30 minute drive). Southwest Michigan is a beautiful place to live! We'd LOVE to share it with you.

The Red Barn Lodge is a few minutes from orchards, beaches and vineyards. The converted barn combines the convenience of modern kitchen and bathroom within a spacious loft. Air-conditioned and private huge fenced backyard with shady and sunny areas and fire pit. There is a woodburning fireplace inside for cozy fall and winter evenings and a charcoal grill in the yard.
