We loved staying here. We sat in the back yard and watched the birds, rabbits, and a deer. We also enjoyed the clean hot tub, the sunroom, and the roomy house.

Fantastic location that was perfect to get away in the peace and quiet. Rachel was easy to contact and quick to respond and gave us some excellent recommendations for the area. Would definitely book here again.

I had a lovely stay while I was having some work done in my house. Everything was clean and well decorated. I enjoyed the hot tub and being able to sit out in the private yard. This would be great for groups of people who want to grill out and spend time in the actual Airbnb.

We had a great stay. The property is beautiful and peaceful. They have done a great job making it a little piece of paradise! KT house was clean, cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The Pavilion and Redd's Pub was wonderful. Eddie was great and hung out with us for a bit at the pub for great conversation, laughter, and a few drinks! They go above and beyond what most hosts do in the Airbnb's we've stayed at. We highly recommend staying at KT house and hope we make it back there again sometime! Thanks so much for the great stay!

The cottage is a great place for anyone visiting the Athens area! Whether it’s for a wedding at the Barn at Unity Farm or stopping by for a sporting event at Concord University, the cottage is the personification of peace in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia! Anita had the place ready to go for us and we couldn’t have been more comfortable during our stay. I would give more than 5 stars if allowed.

Very quiet, cozy spot just outside of the hustle and bustle. We felt like we were back home in the country! Very lovely property with lots of wildlife to see in the back yard. We will stay again when in the area!

Really beautifully done home in the woods. Hot tub was great. About 1 hour and 15 minutes to Virginia Tech on windy roads, a little tense driving but beautiful landscape. House was immaculate, thank you!

Amy’s place is just like the pictures. When we got there we weren’t very savvy at using the key pad. We called Amy and she was down in minutes to open the house. So easy after she did it!!! Felt silly but pleased at her quick response. The beds were comfortable. That evening the frogs were singing up a storm. Sitting on the back swing and watching the river was so relaxing. It’s saved on our favorites!!

This was our second booking and we were very happy with our return stay! Cozy and well stocked home. Perfect location for New River National Park and Hawks Nest State Park…and many other sights!! Highly recommend!

Great cottage at the top of the mountain right near Poor Mountain Nature Preserve! Very comfortable and had everything that we needed for the weekend.

The cottage was adorable. Very welcoming, cute, and comfortable. Loved the river views from the porch, yard, and kitchen window, such a beautiful and convenient location to explore Hinton and the greater New River area.

This was the perfect rural place for our vacation! We picked it specifically for its many options for entertainment there at the house with local places to hike. In the end, we thoroughly enjoyed the private swimming hole and relaxing to the sound of the creek. The drive to historic sites from the place was beautiful! I was quite impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was, including spices beyond salt and pepper. We were also pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the beds were. We did have a couple of hiccups during our stay, but Scott was very prompt and responsive in going above and beyond our expectations. He deserves 10 stars as a host! I would be very happy to rent from him and Penny again!

Dawna’s place was amazing. Having the whole property to venture through is an awesome feature. There was a lot of good information on things to do and the surround areas. The nature you got to see on the property was one of our favorite parts. I only wish we had more time to spend there. I would absolutely stay again.

Johanna was super responsive and kind. Any Tech parents should expect to drive on windy roads from campus, but the peace and quiet was well worth it. The cottage is well equipped and has a fun, funky sense of style. We would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was exactly as described. Very clean. I would definitely book here again.

We had a nice weekend visit. The cottage was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the wood stove (wood supplied) as the nights were unusually chilly in May. I know several reviews complained about the water, but if you let it run for less than a minute, it is perfectly fine, no issues. The area does have a slight mustiness, most likely due to the dampness from all the rain and the beautiful Craig Creek. We loved the views of the creek from the windows; we were not able to fish due to rain and higher water. Our only negative is the area is quite busy with cars, four wheelers, and dirt bikes zipping up and down the road, but by 10 pm the area was quite for the night. Definitely better suited for families with children, but we seniors still had a great time, and enjoyed nice drives through the surrounding countryside, relaxing reading on the porch, and we all slept well on the very comfortable beds and super soft blankets. We would stay again.

Patricia’s space was amazing! The home was cozy and comfortable. Great internet as well for working from the place. Convenient location in Marlinton, would love to visit again when weather is warmer! Patricia was quick to respond with any questions as well.

Felt right at home in this lovely Cottage. Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking too! Quiet ,peaceful neighborhood and porches to sit on and just relax. Just the getaway I needed. ❤️
