The Eyrie Byre

IanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Simple but ideal accommodation as a base for, as in my case, an active outdoor trip to Harris, with plenty of walking, biking and kayaking to be had with minimal driving. All that you need is there and is well kept, with a good wood burner as a bonus to help dry wet kit - although I struck lucky with the weather! The hosts, Kate and Daryll, are a really chilled, friendly and helpful couple. Thanks for the stay, I would definitely return here!

The Old School at Luskentyre Lodge

Norman and Leona are very friendly and great hosts. The cottage was cosy clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is looking out to the most beautiful beach and scenery. 5min walk to beach. If you like peace and tranquility this is the place to stay. It's location is ideal to travel to other parts of the island. Norman and Leona are around if you need help with anything but they do not intrude on your privacy. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Thank you Norman and Leona we had an amazing holiday.

The Peat Stack

OliviaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay at The Peat Stack! Everything was perfect, clean and it had everything we needed for the few days we stayed, even some goodies left by Isobel. We felt at home right away! The hot tub, the amazing view and the sheep neighbours were a big bonus. Stornoway and a big supermarket can be reached in less than 15 min and it is a great location to explore the island.

The cottage is in a wonderful location - spectacular views right from the front door. It was very cozy and comfortable. It is a great base for exploring the area (Harris is particularly rugged and scenic) and it was also possible to hike from the cottage itself. There is a lovely beach at the end of the road outside the cottage. It was very peaceful and we loved our time there.

The Bunker

We absolutely loved it I think this has made Lewis our new favourite island. I saw most of the marine life I was wanting to see from the balcony: seals and birds. The kitchen was great for cooking and eating in. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay x

Idyllic Hebridean thatched cottage

A beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. Medi kindly contacted us to let us know there was possible disruption to the ferry but we arrived as scheduled and had a wonderful fortnight walking, swimming and exploring during the day and relaxing in front of the wood burning stove in the evening.

This is a magical little spot. My husband and I were only here for one night but found ourselves wishing it were longer. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Everything you need is provided in the cabin. Very comfortable and a lovely place to stay. As described it is situated in a riding stable setting. Totally fine for us as this added to the authenticity of Skye.
