Big Stone Gap is a lovely spot and Joshua’s apartment is in the heart. We loved the walk around the river. The brewery downstairs and Curklin’s were good local eateries and bars. We will be back.

What a great extended stay. We were there doing a clinical rotation and Sara and Emily really looked out for us. Always available and helped us get integrated in the community! The place is clean and spacious and has everything you need!

We really enjoyed our brief stay in Whitesburg. Apartment was spacious, beds were comfortable and it was a good place to relax. Only downside was that my daughter wanted some home cooking and my wife could have done with a few more pots and plates. We also missed not having a dishwasher. However, overall we loved our stay and would definitely rebook if we return next year

The house was amazing. It was neat and clean and in a great location for getting to the Hillbilly Trail System. The host were awesome and were very proactive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

The Patchwork Fields Cabin was a great place to stay while visiting family. A couple days before checking in, the host let us know that they would provide milk, eggs, bacon and bread for our stay! They also messaged us and said they noticed we had kids on our reservation so they purchased games just for the kids! The host was very accommodating and there was plenty of room for everyone. We loved sitting and playing games on the porch, and even took a walk down to Carr Creek to do some shopping on Saturday. Would love to stay there again next time we visit.

Very nice owner and nice stay

Had a nice experience staying a couple of nights in this house. Was comfortable and clean.

This was a last minute stay for coworkers working in the Hazard, KY area. The few hotels in the area were completely booked. The rates were spot on and our employees enjoyed their stay. For two of them it reminded them of their Grandmother's home. They all enjoyed the history of the homeplace. It was peaceful and quiet, beds slept really well and it was easy to find. I have to keep this marked for future stays. Thank you for booking the stay at the last minute!

Very nice place. Clean and relaxing. Our boys loved the dogs. We came to ride Hillbilly Trails, which did not disappoint. This rental is about 20 minutes from either trailhead. The road to the rental is very narrow. Our trailer is 84 inches wide, any wider and we wouldn’t have made it. Definitely recommend Shelby’s place and would stay again.

Here on a M-F business adventure. Eva and Wayne are very welcoming hosts. Greeted us and shared some great knowledge of the area. The place is clean throughout. Great having the covered carport in the front, kept it cooler outside with the high summer temps. When the moon came out, the back deck was the perfect spot for stargazing, sipping, and talking. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We bought groceries locally and cooked our own meals for the trip except for dinner in town one night. Kitchen was stocked with everyday pans and utensils. The surrounding area is walkable, some small hills, but not terrible. Definitely look into this place if needing a place to stay versus a hotel, especially if you prefer to cook your own meals. Thank you Eva and Wayne for the hospitality, a beautiful stay, and the cheesecake was a delight.
