Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Letcher County

Clay was a great host, checking in with us shortly after our arrival to see if we needed anything. We had one issue which he resolved in a timely fashion and did everything he could to make up for our inconvenience. We will definitely return to his property when we return to the area.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was clean, comfortable, and just the right size. The bathroom was beautiful with a nice rainfall shower. The mattress was comfortable on the bed and the place was spotless. Overall, a very comfortable stay. I wish we had been in town for more than 1 night. The location is close to downtown and I would have loved to see more of the town and surrounding scenery. Hopefully we will get the chance to come back!

I had a truly wonderful stay, and I can’t say enough great things about my hostess, Bonita. From the moment I booked, she was incredibly responsive, flexible, and always willing to help. She made sure I had everything I needed to feel at ease—especially with the detailed instructions she provided for finding the place, which could’ve been tricky otherwise. The home itself was stunning—just as beautiful as the photos, if not more so. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials, which made my stay even more comfortable. It was the perfect setting to relax and feel at peace. I’m genuinely so happy I chose to stay here, and I truly hope I get the chance to return. When I arrived I was pleasantly impressed by the beautiful area on and around the property. It was a great place to unwind from a couple long days at the races. I will most definitely be looking to visit this place next year.

Five-Star home and accommodations! And five stars are simply not enough to rate the most comfortable and relaxing week in surroundings that are more than just beautiful, but heavenly! The home’s interior is spacious, clean, and quite pleasing. Master bedroom and master bath offer room to spread out. Other bedrooms and bathroom offer room for at least 6 more sleepers! Kitchen is perfectly equipped and functional (my wife loves to cook) to prepare and serve large meals and the dining room and living room made for relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends. The surrounding lush green rolling pastures and beautiful farm animals are perfect additions for the awesome picturesque surroundings. I cannot say enough to express how much we loved our stay and are sad we had to leave. This property will be at the top of the list when we get to visit again! We made lifelong memories in our time there! Thank you, Edee, for everything.

Whenever we visit family, we book these accommodations. The 2 bedrooms w/ bath in between and access to kitchen fit our needs perfectly. Host is very helpful, and home is surrounded by flowers, the sound of nearby creek, and nature. Just the respite we need!

If you decide to explore Breaks Interstate Park and the Crooked Road, consider staying at this newly renovated apartment in Virginia. The ground-level accommodations (very comfortable) feature a spacious bedroom with two queen-size beds, a kitchenette with seating area, and a bathroom with shower and washer-dryer. The location, which overlooks a river and rolling hills, is only 8 miles from Virginia’s “Grand Canyon.” The Crooked Road leads visitors to attractions including the Ralph Stanley Museum, the Carter Family Fold, and the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. Our host was welcoming and eager to meet our needs. The town of Haysi, Virginia, offers a small grocery store, restaurants, shops, and a gas station. We would certainly consider staying there again.

I thought Misty's place was great all around. It was very clean, nicely decorated and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable; the bathroom was clean with ample bathroom supplies. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were freshly cut flowers in the kitchen, a nice touch. There were various books in the apartment, one was about the history of Haysi, which I found interesting. We were there to visit the Breaks Interstate Park, and the apartment was very close to the park. The area where the house is located is not much to look at, but it was very quiet and peaceful. If we are ever back in the area I would stay here again. Misty was a great host, always responded quickly to my inquiries, and was very nice in her responses.
