Unique castle in beautiful surroundings

LindaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a love song to Atherlow Castle. Our family of 6(all adults) stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave. We truly felt at home. There’s plenty of space for everyone to have their privacy in the castle but there was still such a comfortable feeling. The grounds are lovely, with the nicest looking herd of cows I’ve ever seen peacefully grazing on impossibly green grass. Freda and Declan were quintessential hosts! Friendly and unobtrusive with adorable bouncy dogs. The area, as described by a local tea shop owner we struck up a conversation with, is real Ireland not tourist Ireland. All of the major sites are within driving distance but the local area has hidden gems. We have stayed in wonderful Airbnbs all over the world but Atherlow Castle won my heart.
The exterior of a light blue house is showcased, featuring large glass panels that allow natural light to illuminate the interior. Two lounge chairs are positioned on the patio, with potted plants adding a touch of greenery. The roof is steeply pitched, contributing to a modern architectural design.

Spacious Irish Lakeside Retreat

JacquelineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We fell in love with the house. It just felt like home. Super comfortable, peaceful, spacious and clean. It had every amenity you can wish for. I could have stayed forever. One negative, unfortunately, was the Internet connection. It did not work at all. We contacted Susan and were told that the provider does not work weekends. I think maybe a little effort could have been done to contact a help desk to intervene. Some of us needed to connect for work and it was quite frustrating that the service was not available. It also meant of course that we could not watch any of the TV applications available on their smart TV.
A view from the living space showcases double doors that open into a garden area. Two small bistro chairs are positioned on a paved patio, surrounded by lush greenery and flowering vines on the walls. Indoor plants are seen in the foreground, adding a natural touch.

Entire Home 2-Bedroom Apartment in Monkstown

Jens-ErikRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The apartment was neat and clean, Christian was very friendly, and we had a nice chat after check-in. You have to know that the busses to Dublin city take about half an hour. I checked the timetable on Google Maps, usually it works, even though with some flaws.

Stylish Rural Retreat with Hot Tub and Fire Pit

MarionRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely stay here, thanks Heather. Would definitely come back again. We didn’t have much time to see much around the area but Perfect place to chill out. Hot tub was really hot too. The house and rooms were cosy and the girls recommended a Chinese takeaway we ordered from in Downpatrick on Saturday night.

Luxe Waterfront 4 Bedroom Villa

SaraRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Best Airbnb experience we've ever had! Here are a few things that make Heron's Rest so special; spectacular views loads of space practical, well-equipped kitchen supremely comfy beds, linens and pillows great showers laundry room with washer and dryer lovely, separate dining room with views overlooking the Harbor spacious bedrooms with room to store and hang clothes amazing quiet great walks (forest and sea) accessible from the house The one thing that made our stay truly special, though, was Robert, who should be hired by Airbnb to teach Hosting! From the remarkably thoughtful welcome basket that included spaghetti and pasta sauce, fresh baked bread, local cheeses, biscuits / crackers, chocolate, a delicious locally produced Relish, etc. to his enthusiasm and local knowledge (the English Market in Cork City Center was great) he made our Airbnb stay very special. Thank you again!

Beautiful Country House near Dublin

TraciRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Rossnaree House is not a modern fru fru boutique hotel, but rather a delightful glimpse into the Ireland of long ago, a disappearing Ireland. All of the furnishings and decorations have family meaning, going back generations. Juxtaposed with that are the bathrooms, which have been tastefully modernized…the result is a lovely mixture of the old and the new. This house simply reeks of history and authenticity. The views from the rooms and the gardens are stunning…this area is the heartbeat of Mystical Ireland and if you allow you can and will be transported to another time, another realm. There are walkways down to the River Boyne and the ancient burial mound of Newgrange is close by. Simply stated this is as real and as authentic as it gets. Come with an open mind…but do come, fantastic…oh, and there are peacocks!
