The Cart Lodge

GillRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great few days at The Cart Lodge. Stoke-By-Nayland and surrounding areas were beautiful - helped by gorgeous weather. Colchester was well worth a visit. We slept very well in the comfortable bed, and the bathroom was great, also the lovely garden space. Annie kindly provided breakfast foods of high quality and little extras that made our stay very pleasant. We’d recommend a stay here.

Cottage in Sudbury

DeborahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cottage was idyllic. Exactly as described. Everything provided in the kitchen you could possibly want. Very near beautiful walks and town centre approximately 15 min walk. Very doggy friendly. The only thing that lets this property down is the traffic noise early hours of the morning as the bedroom is at the front. It's on a very busy through road with a lot of heavy goid vehicles, which shook the cottage. We did read this on other reviews. We only stayed one night, so it wasn't too bad. The Host was great at responding to my message's. Id fully recommend this cottage for a stay in the beautiful Sudbury.

We can't recommend Denise's Rural Retreat more. It was perfect for everything we needed, cosy and quiet, comfortable bed and well equipped. Very clean, lovely amenities and Denise really went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Thankyou for a lovely short stay - we wish we could have stayed longer!

The Annexe

FrankieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great stay at Suzanne’s Airbnb. It was a lovely private annexe, super clean and spacious. Lovely hot shower, comfy bed & easy parking. It was very close to The White Hart Wedding venue where we were attending a wedding for the weekend. Also 2 mins drive from a nice little farm shop cafe where we had breakfast the next morning. Suzanne was very responsive over messenger. Definitely would stay again :)

Bear House, Nayland, Suffolk

KatieRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Bear House. Marcus is a fantastic host, replying promptly and helping whenever we had questions. His house and gardens are spectacular and we loved our swim in his natural swimming pool. Nayland village is beautiful. We enjoyed a short walk along the river spotting a heron, several varieties of poppy and admiring the riverside houses on the way to the Anchor pub. We also enjoyed brunch at the old mill and a meal at the Angel, which is 5 minutes’ drive away in Stoke-by-Nayland.

Cosy Retreat next to Castle Park, free parking

SarahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance and the beautiful and spacious park is just across the road which was really handy. The apartment is comfortable and uncluttered which suited us and the excellent check-in instructions made this aspect really easy and straightforward. The hosts are really responsive so we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here. Having an allocated parking space was the icing on the cake as we were in and out a lot visiting various local attractions. Our favourite things to do were the guided tour of the castle, Mersea Island and the Beth Chatto Gardens. If you want to splash out then we can really recommend booking the tasting menu at Kintsu - absolutely superb.
