John couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. He made two Aussies feel very much at home. We loved the house and the village of Guillemont. His recommendations on what to see, how to get there & where to eat were so valuable. A highlight for us will always be the personal tour he took us on of where Australians fought. We had a fabulous 6-day vacation. Denise welcomed us in a very friendly way. She had already preheated the cottage with the pellet heater so that we already had it warm in this winter weather. Everything was also prepared for our dog. We had everything we needed. The village was very quiet and there were great hiking trails. We spent New Year's there. In summer, it is certainly also very nice there, through the many lake districts. Shopping was quickly reached by car. All in all, we highly recommend Denise's house.
