Nevertheless, there is a unique landscape so that you can also find terrain for easier skiing. In summer, endless trips to choose from are endless, both by foot, bike or boat. The area has fantastic views of the Lyng Alps, with opportunities to see the northern lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer. There are good hiking opportunities in the immediate area. Popular mountains for randonees. From the property you can go directly up to Storhaugen. Sorbmegáisá is also nearby. Short distance to other mountains. Wood fired Sauna and grill hut. Bicycles, snowshoes. Beds are fully made.

Idyllic cabin in the Lyngen Alps

Lyngen is one of the world's most beautiful and undisturbed Arctic regions. From this exclusive cabin you can enjoy the northern lights in the winter and the midnight sun in the summer. The cabin is by itself, with a spectacular view. You can hear and see the ocean from the terrace. You need to walk up 140 stairs to the cabin, or walk the access road. You can be a bit shocked by the steepness, but it's worth it :) You can not drive up so you have to be a bit sporty to rent this place.

Gamtunet - idyllic cabin - spectacular location

Gamtunet is a charming old log house with a top modern architectural extension including all commodities. The view is spectacular encompassing the Lyngen landscape from the view to the Ulsfjord to the alpine peaks of Trollvasstind, Sofiatind and the Jiehkkevárri massif. We still have lots of snow in the mountains so it looks like skiing will be good all through May at least.
